Chrysler is revving up the athletic wear market! It is selling athleisure inspired by one of its designers.
Athleisure is all the rage. No matter where you go you see someone wearing workout leggings or a hoody. Chrysler is now selling the perfect gift for the mom who loves her 2022 Pacifica minivan or the guy who cherishes his 2022 Chrysler 300.
Chrysler Launches Athleisure Line
The new workout wear is also a great tribute to Stellantis North American chief designer-advance studio, Winnie Cheung. The eight-piece collection include hoodies, long sleeve T-shirts, leggings, zip-up jacket and a Chrysler-branded canteen. There are items for both men and women.
“The Chrysler brand has always been about ingenious style and functionality with a focus on providing solutions to make things easier for our customers’ busy lifestyles,” said Chris Feuell, Chrysler brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. “This special collaboration truly embodies what the brand represents with the ultimate goal of creating high quality and modern products that enable consumers to be comfortable while on the go, with practical sophistication.”
Stellantis Encourages Designers to Branch Out
This is the third time that Stellantis has given designers the chance to branch out into merchandise, but the idea isn’t new. Back in 2012, “Imported from Detroit” T-shirts and sweatshirts were a hit for Chrysler. In 2021, Ram teamed up with Lucchese for hand-tooled boots. Ram developed a line of work boots with Wolverine. Ram also has a merchandise store on Amazon. Jeep has lots of popular items for sale as well.
Many thought that athleisure was a fad but then the pandemic hit and it seemed that everyone was wearing it. Athleisure even became acceptable in some casual workspaces. Creating this merchandise line showcases the artistic talent that goes beyond vehicle design. Many of the top automotive designers could easily transition to clothing or furniture design. This gives designers a chance to grow and experiment without leaving their day jobs.
If you are looking for that perfect gift or want to express your own style, you can buy the Chrysler Athleisure Collection at www.collection.chrysler.com/chrysler/collections/athleisure.html.
