Dodge is continuing its salute to the 20th Anniversary of the HEMI-powered Dodge Durango with a sleek, new special edition model called the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Brass Monkey. It is the fourth special edition before the HEMI is phased out later this year. The Dodge Durango SRT Brass Monkey will have special wheels, badging and get an astounding 710 horsepower.
“The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey caps a trio of 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat special-edition models as we recognize 20 years of HEMI power in the Dodge performance SUV,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO. “The Durango continues to lead the segment with the Durango SRT Hellcat, the fastest, most capable American three-row gas SUV, delivering best-in-class available towing of 8,700 lbs.”

Performance is the ultimate accessory, and the Dodge Durango has nearly perfected it over the years. The Durango SRT Brass Monkey goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and does the quarter-mile in an elapsed time of 11.5 seconds. The Durango SRT hits a top speed of 180 mph thanks to the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine under the hood. Those figures are impressive for a sports car much less an SUV.
2025 Dodge Durango SRT Special Editions
As I reported earlier this year, Dodge is wrapping up the HEMI-powered Durango with a number of special editions. The Durango SRT Brass Monkey follows three previously announced special-edition models. The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Silver Bullet pays homage to the Silver Bullet muscle car that used to rule Woodward Avenue outside Detroit. The 2025 Durango SRT Hammerhead gets its name from its unique appearance package and 2025 Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary special edition is a less powerful and more affordable option.
