Texas is the largest truck buying region in the world. Now, Ram has an ultra-luxurious truck called the 2020 Ram Laramie Southwest Edition designed to be sold deep in the heart of Texas.
There is no question that Texas is truck country. Now, Ram is unveiling an even more luxurious version of the popular 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie designed to draw Texas more buyers. The new pickup is called the 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition and it will only be sold in Texas and neighboring states. The Ram 1500 Lonestar was also designed for the Lone Star state and continues to be Ram’s top seller there. Texas is the largest truck-buying region in the world.
Ram 1500 Laramie Edition Set the Bar for Luxury
Ram has earned countless awards for its luxurious Ram 1500 Laramie model. When it was first unveiled, many called the truck a “Ritz-Carlton on Wheels”. The Laramie was filled with premium upgrades including rear reclining seats, real wood and hand-tooled leather trim. Ram says its new 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition will have even more luxury features in a premium package.
The 2020 Ram Laramie Southwest will be offered exclusively in Texas and neighboring states but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to buy one if you live elsewhere. You might just have to travel to Texas to pick it up.
“For nearly 20 years, Ram has recognized that Texas and America’s Southwest are the center of the truck universe,” said Mike Koval, Ad Interim Head of Ram Brand, FCA - North America. “Ram was the first manufacturer to offer a Texas-exclusive model and the Lone Star edition remains our most popular truck in Texas. Our new Ram Laramie Southwest Edition adds the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury and technology.”
Laramie Southwest Edition Combines Sophistication and Luxury
The 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition will feature body-colored bumpers, mirrors and grille surround, but chrome highlights will give the truck a more luxurious appearance. Chrome tow hooks, grille inserts, body side moldings and polished 20-inch wheels will give the truck a more polished and sophisticated look. Power side steps are also included and fold out of the way when the truck is parked or underway.
Laramie Southwest Includes New Perks
According to Ram, the 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition is loaded with features and technology. The truck has the popular Uconnect 4C infotainment system with a massive 12-inch touchscreen, the huge dual-pane panoramic sunroof and electronic trailer brake control. The truck has other perks like automatic high beam headlights, Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, Front and Rear Park-Assist, remote tailgate-release and rain-sensing windshield wipers. All Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Editions are delivered with a heavy-duty Mopar locking console when the bucket seat option is selected.
The 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition is available in all powertrain options. The Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition’s Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starts at $45,380, plus $1,695 destination.
The new 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition will go on sale in the second quarter of 2020. It is unclear at this time if that schedule could be affected by the Coronavirus or COVID-19 production delays.
