Cadillac is promising to go all EV eventually. However, the gas-powered 2025 CT5 will be loaded with luxury and technology.

There’s no question that the automakers are making a huge push toward battery electric vehicles. In the meantime, however, Cadillac has refreshed its CT5 luxury sedan, and it might be the perfect interim step for drivers who want all the technology and luxury while waiting for EVs with better range. The 2025 Cadillac CT5 will have a bolder, sportier, new face and side view.

“CT5’s importance in Cadillac’s portfolio cannot be overstated,” said John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac. “Globally, CT5 is having its best sales year, ever. The 2025 CT5 stays true to what customers love about this vehicle, while bringing a revised look and the latest technology and safety features.”

2025 Cadillac CT5

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is loaded with all of the precise ride and handling that the EVs brag about. It is rear-wheel drive. It features two different available engines, plus details about the higher horsepower CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing are expected to be released in the future.

Features include:

  • 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display
  • A standard 2.0L Turbo engine with 237 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque
  • An available 3.0L Twin-Turbo engine with 335 horsepower and 405 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Available all-wheel drive
  • Available Super Cruise driver assistance technology with new Driver Attention Assist
  • Google built-in compatibility enabling Google Maps and  Navigation
  • Blind Zone Steering Assist

“CT5 continues to redefine American luxury and the enhancements for 2025 take it even further,” said Alex MacDonald, CT5 chief engineer. “The new advanced technologies enhance the driver’s personal connection in a sedan already renowned for its driving spirit, comfort and technology.”

2025 CT5 Scheduled for Spring 2024

Many of the features available on the 2025 CT5 are the same ones available on the latest Cadillac EVs. The CT5 or the higher horsepower versions may be the perfect transitional vehicle for drivers who love the Cadillac precision, handling and luxury before making the leap to an all-electric model.

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 will be produced at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly facility in Michigan. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring 2024. Fuel economy and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
