Do you own a Ford F250 Super Duty and do you want to upgrade or change its look? If so, you have a chance to buy genuine factory parts from an online site.
Until recently, owners of Ford F250 Super Duty models have had problems if they wanted to do some mod work. The only place they could buy Ford parts was from a Ford dealer. Now, that is all well and good, but, there’s a problem you see with that, it’s called markup.
Ford F250 Shocks And More Available
Now, we are not privy to all the decision-making that goes into the price of a new set of shocks for a Ford F250 Super Duty truck or, for that matter, the cost of just about anything that a dealer might carry for parts. Honestly, dealers are entitled to enough markup to cover the cost of the parts and add a more so the dealership can make a few dollars. It is a guiding principle of our free-market economy. And, we are not about the challenge a system that works quite well.
What puzzles us at Torque News is the fact that some dealers like to charge whatever the market will bear for private owners who come in to buy a new bed cover, for example or new Ford light bar. Other dealers, who may value the added business provided by private Ford F250 owners, may go out of their way to encourage further sales. Remember, Ford F250s look cool when they are decked out in new stuff. We also discuss various unique lighting options for the F250.

With that said, wouldn’t it be nice if there was another way for owners to purchase Ford F250 parts? What type of outlet would handle these parts? There’s always the internet, of course. But, there’s the expense of setting up the website needed, and then there is the expense of stocking the parts. And, the images needed, as well as setting up how to pay for things, and so on. Then, there’s eBay, which is a good source for many things, but, if a Ford F250 owner is looking for genuine Ford parts, they will probably have to look elsewhere, unless the eBay entrepreneur goes out of his or her way to label every part, a vast undertaking. So, why not use an existing outlet? That’s probably the best idea of them all. It works for all concerned. For dealers, it means there’s only an order or two, perhaps, per week that is shipped out like the orders from other sites. For the other places, it means a steady flow of Ford-approved parts. For owners, it means there is a readily assured flow of lower-cost components for F250s. Costs will be kept in check because independent dealers want to attract further business. It is a win-win-win-win.
Ford F250s Have Outlet for Parts
American Trucks now offers genuine Ford parts on its site. There are parts available for 2011-2019 Ford F250 models. Both gasoline and diesel versions are covered.
So, what types of parts are covered? Let’s say that an F250 has had an untoward incident with a telephone pole that munched up the grille. An owner no longer has to trek into a dealership and haggle with the guy behind the counter because he can send an email off to American Trucks with the requirements and within a couple of days (depending on how it is shipped) it arrives at home. Here is a list of some of the parts now offered by American Trucks:
- Exhaust systems
- Intakes
- Full line of bumpers
- Various suspension pieces
- Lift kits
Ford F250s Can Have Light Bars
And, for those who want to add light bars and other lighting options to their Ford F250s, there is a whole line of LED lighting choices. For example, we recently detailed a bull-bar kit for the front end of a Ford F-Series pickup. It is a great-looking addition to any Ford’s front end, and it does have something that many other bull-bar kits don’t have, a lighting option built into the device. It’s about halfway up the bull-bar, and it keeps the light low enough so that you have plenty of extra light on the road ahead. It’s great if you like to off-road at night.

Further, there’s a section on interior upgrades that add to the F250. And, there’s a complete line of wheels and tires available that should satisfy anyone’s need to dress-up their Ford F250.
If you are looking for engine parts, you can also find them on American Trucks’ website. You can find diesel turbos, intercoolers and much more. There’s more to this site, as well. You can find fluids and filters, cold air intakes, tuners, and throttle enhancement.
Torque News was one of the first outlets to discuss this new outlet for Ford parts. Now, The Ford Authority has had a chance to weigh-in, as well. As we said in our story a couple of weeks ago, RedRock 4X4, a brand available only on American Trucks’ site, is offering a chance for F250 owners to win $5,000 in parts upgrades. This particular contest will run daily until Sept. 30.
