For the 13th time Working Mother magazine has named Chrysler Group LLC as one of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers," underscoring the firm’s commitment to diversity and support of women in the workforce.
To win this coveted distinction, Chrysler had to outscore hundreds of firms in a thorough analysis of womens benefits encompassing well known womens issues and advancement, child care, flexible work arrangements, parental leave and company culture, both in terms of access and the level of compliance at all levels of the corporation.
Chrysler and other companies so honored will be featured in the next issue of 34-year-old publication.

Together with the UAW, we have consistently provided progressive work-life programs, understanding that employees will be more productive and engaged when they have peace of mind at home."
Working Mother claims an unpaid circulation of 2,000,000, but based on previous work experience with freely distributed periodicals, distribution numbers are frequently inflated. Wikipedia lists the 2011 circulation at 800,000 for the magazine published eight times a year.
The publisher is Working Mother Media, a subsidiary of Bonnier Corporation, reportedly the largest multimedia conglomerate in the US. It is focused on the advancement of women and engendering diversity in the workplace. The 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers is but one of many similar lists and tallies the magazine proclaims annually.

The Best Companies list marks a 27th anniversary this year, and apparently is a highly regarded evaluation of corporate responsibility in terms of women’s rights in certain circles. Working Mother magazine is the self-proclaimed leading national magazine for career-oriented mothers.

Not only has the Chrysler Group been named to the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers 13 times, they have also been acclaimed six times by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as a leading corporation supporting diversity and inclusion in the US. The brand has also been named by Hispanic Business to their Diversity Elite 60 as a result of strategies implemented to better serve Hispanic customers and conduct more business with minority and Hispanic-owned suppliers.
Latina Style included the Chrysler Group in the 2012 list of the 50 Best Companies for Hispanic women to work in the US, one of the most significant acknowledgments of US corporate efforts promoting diversity and career advancement opportunities to Latinas.
Furthermore, both this year and last, Diversity Inc has recognized Chrysler commitment to inclusion by naming among the Top 50 Companies for Diversity, and designation reserved for companies thought to be diversity-management leaders.
