2023 Toyota Crown has two engine options that can benefit you. Here is how to choose.
When Toyota Crown begins shipping to dealerships across the country later this year, buyers will have some important, and perhaps difficult, choices to make.
One of those is with the Crown engine itself.
2023 Crown Trim Levels
People looking to buy a 2023 Toyota Crown can decide between XLE, Limited, and Platinum trim levels.
The XLE and Limited come with the same standard engine, while Platinum brings an entirely different experience.
Toyota Crown XLE and Limited
The fourth-generation Toyota Hybrid System comes standard on 2023 Crown XLE and Crown Limited. This system combines two electric motors with a high-efficiency 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. A new high-output bipolar nickel-metal hydride battery assists with getting better-than-anticipated gas mileage.

Horsepower and torque numbers have not been released yet, but I would expect we will learn these specifications within the next month at the latest.
I am personally excited about the fuel efficiency here. When I attended the 2023 Toyota Crown launch earlier this summer, fuel economy projections were 38mpg for the first two trim levels.
Now, Toyota has announced an EPA-estimated 41mpg combined.
This is great news on many fronts. Over 40 miles per gallon is huge. Combine this with an elegant, luxurious ride that is projected to be smooth, quiet, and comfortable. Could be a major score here for potential buyers.
2023 Toyota Crown Platinum
Hybrid MAX is standard on 2023 Crown Platinum. Look for a 2.4-liter turbo engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This should bring with it 340 horsepower, powerful overall torque, low RPM, and an exhilarating ride.
Initial fuel economy figures are at 28mpg combined.
The Crown Platinum is intriguing to me, as it brings it an entirely new ride experience to the Toyota brand – luxury, style, sportiness, and adrenaline.

Pricing numbers have not been made available yet, but I would anticipate them within the next month. The first 2023 Toyota Crown shipments should take place by the end of this year.
Time for Your Toyota Crown Comments
On a first impression basis after spending a couple days with them, I am initially very impressed with Toyota Crown. It will be interesting to see what you think. Public attention is extremely high, at least from what I can tell from my social media platforms.
My Instagram page videos have had over 11 million total views on 2023 Crown content alone in the past couple months. Plus, my “ToyotaJeff” YouTube channel Crown videos have received around 400,000 views so far. This is much more than I could have ever imagined.
What are your thoughts and opinions on Toyota Crown so far? Have you studied the trim levels enough to pick your favorite yet?
Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story.
