See how the all-new Panoramic View Monitor gives you an extra set of eyes while driving your 2020 Toyota Tacoma.
If you are in the market for a new Toyota Tacoma, you will find it has been refreshed for the 2020 model year. This means that while the body style and powertrain remain the same, many new features and updates come with this latest Tacoma entry.
One of these features allows drivers to gain an entirely new perspective while driving.
2020 Tacoma Has New Cameras
One of the newest features appearing in some of the 2020 Tacoma trim levels is the Panoramic View Monitor, or PVM, for short. This monitor allows drivers to see in front of, along the sides of, and behind their Tacoma trucks.
Panoramic View Monitor system includes 4 cameras placed around your 2020 Tacoma. They are installed on the front grille, under both side mirrors and on the back tailgate. This is similar technology to Toyota’s existing Bird’s Eye View camera system.

How can you get Panoramic View Monitor in 2020 Tacoma?
The specific model I reviewed this camera system on was the 2020 Toyota Tacoma Limited grade. This PVM is standard equipment when you choose a Limited.
You can also get the Panoramic View Monitor on the TRD Sport trim level when you upgrade to the Advanced Technology Package.
There is another monitor you can choose when you purchase a new 2020 Toyota Tacoma. A Multi-terrain Monitor (MTM) is positioned so drivers can see underneath their trucks while encountering off-road obstacles.
This Multi-terrain Monitor is available as part of the Advanced Technology Package on the TRD Off-Road grade and standard on TRD Pro.
Pricing for Panoramic View Monitor
The 2020 Tacoma Limited 4x4 I reviewed has a factory MSRP of $41,865. The 4x2 version of this double cab Tacoma is $38,790.
Expect the TRD Sport Advanced Technology Package pricing to be $1,450 additional. This package includes Panoramic View Monitor, blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert and rear parking sonar.
Time for your thoughts on 2020 Tacoma
Do you think you would want a Panoramic View or Multi-terrain Monitor on your next Tacoma? Would they be helpful to you while either on the road or off? Will you be looking for a new 2020 Tacoma in the near future - maybe a TRD Pro?
