Yellow! Did We Just See the New 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro?

Work for Torque News, follow on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook.

Toyota just teased two new 2022 Toyota Tacoma grades. Here is what we know.

I do believe we just got our first look at the 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. We also may have just gotten a look at the exclusive new 2022 TRD Pro color as well.

Toyota just posted a teaser photo with the included caption:

Two new adventure-ready trucks are on the horizon for the mid-size segment-leading Toyota Tacoma. Gear up and get ready!

Let the record show right now that I am only going on my opinion from what I can see in this teaser photo. It might not even be the Tacoma TRD Pro in the picture. Maybe something completely different.

2022 Toyota Tacoma Configurations

So let us recap. There will be two new Toyota Tacoma trims that are ready for adventure.

For the lime-greenish/yellow one. It features a Tacoma with Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires. Size 265/70R16 tires.

This could potentially be the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro. Or something else. Rumors have been swirling for both citrus lime metallic and yellow as the new TRD Pro color.

A 2022 TRD Pro will include Toyota Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Sequoia.

Could the Toyota Tacoma have another TRD Pro for 2022, but with all-new features and attitude? Time will tell. And very soon.

It goes without saying there are many Toyota fans waiting for official news.

The Other 2022 Tacoma Trim

This next trim that Toyota teased is interesting to me.

It also features 265/70R16 Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain tires.

The wheels are unique, in a bronzish color, but with the word “Toyota” written out.

I am wondering to myself if Toyota plans to reveal an all-new grade, or if it plans on refreshing or redesigning or rebadging something we already know and love.

Like Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Or Tacoma TRD Sport. Or Tacoma Trail Edition.

Or perhaps a Tacoma Heritage Edition. So many possibilities.

Time for your Toyota Tacoma comments

I suppose this latest Toyota teaser picture is doing just what it was designed to do.

Giving us just enough to get people talking and wondering and excited. Or anxious in my case. I want all the news right now.

Perhaps these upgrades or changes or new editions will affect what we see for 2022 Tundra and 2022 4Runner and 2022 Sequoia.

I would love to get some comments, thoughts and opinions from everyone. What do you think of this teaser picture? What exactly are we looking at here anyway?

Do you think this is the new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro or something completely different?

If lime-greenish/yellow is the new TRD Pro color for 2022, how will you feel about this choice?

Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story when I discuss the 2022 4Runner TRD Pro in yellow color.

Thank you everyone for following me.

I'm personally getting a bit tired of the Baby Sh*t colors Toyota keeps puking out. Cement was good but Lunar Rock and now this Yellow/Green puke is a bit much...

hopefully Toyota is putting all wheel disc brakes on the 2022 model, moving out of the dark ages!
Safety before profit, like Chevy , Ram and Ford.

Ohh wow a wheel arch and tire........how news worthy! All this excitement from Toyota who are being left behind in the truck market. Once the fan boys realize their trucks are boring dinosaurs with crappy interiors they too will move on. When Nissan has a more advanced truck than you its a sad sad day for your company!

I own a 2014 Toyota tacoma with 50,000 miles. I was considering upgrading, but with the current models lacking any styling, I will be purchasing a new Ford or GMC. I have had tacoma trucks for many years, still today there are no changes to the truck styling. Yellow are you serious?

The color is terrible who wants a yellow truck.
Sold my TRD Pro the truck was uncomfortable to drive, terrible throttle response, no horsepower, very heavy. Will not buy another Tacoma. Tired of seeing Toyota milk consumers with out dated products.
