See what 2020 Highlander Platinum buttons and controls look like at night, complete with pictures and a video review.
People are excited to see the newly redesigned 2020 Toyota Highlander. I am hearing positive feedback from my Torque News readers and my Toyotajeff YouTube channel viewers so far.
This new Highlander has a simplified trim level strategy, offering customers the L, LE, XLE, Limited and Platinum. All are available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
From all comments so far, the one grade people seem to ask the most about is Platinum. Let’s dig a little deeper into 2020 Highlander Platinum, specifically what it looks like at night.
Here are your thoughts on 2020 Highlander Platinum
Viewer Artdelac said, “…it would be much appreciated if you could also thoroughly review a Blizzard Pearl and Ruby Flare, preferably in Platinum trim, hybrid or non-hybrid.”
“Can you show the 12.3” multimedia screen in the Platinum please?” Asked Marissa.
“Platinum is the way to go baby! Do a review on this!” Said reader Jimmy.
During my evaluation, I found the Platinum level felt open, inviting and comfortable. Interior restyling is modern, with many safety and technological updates and additions that were frankly missing in the previous generation.
Take a look at pictures of the multiple buttons and controls, mostly backlit in blue. Ambient lighting glows from the inside door handles and storage shelves. I was happily surprised at the illuminated door plates. These will give better vision at nighttime when getting into the vehicle. Plus it looks really cool.
The highlight and centerpiece is, of course, the giant 12.3-inch multimedia touch screen. This is a perfect way to show audio apps such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and to view the crystal clear backup camera with Bird’s eye view camera. I do not think I have seen a clearer picture inside a vehicle before.
Other features that might catch your eye are the 10-inch color head-up display, digital display rear view mirror, panoramic moonroof, heated and cooled front seats, and heated second row seats.
The 2020 Highlander drives on 20-inch smoked gray alloy wheels with the Platinum trim level. You can tell this one from the Limited model in that Limited has the same wheel design but is bright chrome.
Exterior features of note are adaptive, self-leveling LED headlamps, LED fog lights, Bird’s eye view camera, parking sonar in front and rear, and hands-free foot-operated power back liftgate.
