Get ready for the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SE. Yes, a brand new RAV4 Hybrid.
This new trim level offers style, performance, and fuel efficiency. All the while saving money versus RAV4 Hybrid XSE.

You will still find gloss black accents throughout the exterior and interior, although you will not see the two-tone gloss black roof as in Hybrid XSE.
I would probably choose RAV4 Hybrid SE for myself. Well, or RAV4 Hybrid Limited.

2022 RAV4 XLE Changes
The main update I see immediately is with the headlights. The headlight design has been upgraded on XLE trims and above.
RAV4 XLE has auto on/off Bi-LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights. This new headlight design is modern, sleek, futuristic, and a little menacing all wrapped up into one.
I knew I liked this design better than last year immediately. I wonder what you think.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 XLE comes with the same wheel size and design from a year ago, but this year the wheels are darker. Pretty cool look.
You will also find a new lockable storage glove box.
My favorite improvement may be minor, but I find it helps quite a bit with convenience, appearance, and safety. Illuminated interior switches now decorate the interior 2022 RAV4 XLE cabin. Plus, all trims above XLE have this update as well.
More 2022 RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid Changes
Plenty of 2022 Toyota RAV4 changes to discuss.
Cavalry Blue is now part of the lineup on certain Toyota RAV4 trim levels, including RAV4 Hybrid SE and RAV4 Hybrid XSE and RAV4 TRD Off-Road.
RAV4 Limited now comes with standard 8-way power passenger seat.
More on the wheels. There will be a new wheel color for RAV4 LE Hybrid, XLE Hybrid, XLE, and RAV4 Adventure. A new wheel design is in store for RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium, Hybrid Limited, and Hybrid XSE.
Although 2022 RAV4 XLE does not feature standard LED fog lamps, grades XLE Premium and above will get them. I do wish RAV4 XLE had fog lamps standard.
The new headlight design is all Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 gasoline trim levels XLE and above.
Cool new vertical lights like on RAV4 Prime can be found on RAV4 XSE Hybrid.
Toyota RAV4 Prime has no changes and is a carryover model from last year.

I thought the bi led lights
I thought the bi led lights were only on Limited models, well that’s what is listed on Toyota site. Need your opinion on your Venza since mechanicals are same as RAV4 hybrid. How does the AWD compare to the Torque vectoring all wheel drive on RAV4 limited/TRD? I have a daughter in school in New Hampshire would the torque vectoring be a better choice than hybrid AWD. Hybrid as you know gets better gas mileage.
2 things that disappoint on
2 things that disappoint on our 2020 Rav 4 Limited Hybrid are finally corrected: lack of lighted interior switches and unpowered passenger seat.
Am happy with my 2021 RAV4
Am happy with my 2021 RAV4 Prime, no, delighted with the 'little' SUV. Flashy headlights may appeal to some, but mine are AOK . . . Glad I ordered the 2021: 2022 has 'safety sense' 2.0, works fine. Thought 2022 might have switched to 2.5, like in the 2021 Camry. Understand computer chips are scarce, & some, like BMW, have left out content, features found in earlier cars, 'cause of scarcity.
Question: why are sedan seats so damn low (Accord & Camry) when we like easy in & out, & enjoy a higher sight-line? (Test drove a 2021 Accord hybrid, fantastic handling & performance, but an impossibly low driver's seat. Why?)
I have a 2018 rav4 cruiser
I have a 2018 rav4 cruiser and as far as I’m concerned the later spec rav4 is the ugliest thing I’ve seen and my car beats it hands down for style. Uk hate those square lines and especially that grille. Definitely won’t buy one of these.

I see by that sticker that SE Toyota hits EVERYONE with the same “ add on “ GARBAGE! $699 for 2 O/C’s , 4 tire rotation, & the ever present “ premium paint sealant “ . Also cellphone charger cable for $69, they had this on a Venza that had wireless charging as standard eq, and refused to remove!
Why doesn’t Toyota utilize
Why doesn’t Toyota utilize led turn signals like they do on the Venza? I find LEDs to be more visible than incandescent. I can’t imagine the cost to be much greater.

So just purchased new 2022
So just purchased new 2022 XLE. My salesman assured me I would get LED fogs. Well, no fogs. Does Toyota sell an OEM fog light kit?

I also have a 2022 XLE and was disappointed no fog lights. I have researched adding OEM and apparently the wiring is not there for simple retrofit. Dissapointed to say the least.
