It seems that California has the highest rate of hybrid battery replacements in the U.S. Here is how I found out why this is occurring.
Why does it seem that California is always in the news for something? Maybe it has to do with their laws and regulations, or it could be the sunny weather people rave about. Whatever it is, this time it is replacement traction batteries for Toyota Prius.
The study I dove in on was wanting to find out what state has the most hybrid battery replacements. This is to help the community of people that are looking to keep their Prius for a few more years rather than sell it off. Here is what I found out.
Comparing Toyota Prius Google Data
Using Google, I was trying to see what data I could find that would most help Prius owners when they face that dreaded P0A80 replace hybrid battery code. I compared searches for Toyota Prius Repair, Toyota Prius Battery Repair and Toyota Prius New.
The reason I chose this specific data was to see what happens when people start to have problems with their batteries. Are they getting rid of the Prius or are they fixing it? The correlation was pretty interesting.
When searching for hybrid battery replacement, users also could have been searching for what it costs to own a new Toyota Prius. While the data does not drill down specifically into if the users are searching for both, the data certainly suggests it.
California Has The Most Searches For Prius Battery Replacement
The second part of this led me to find out where most hybrid battery replacements could occur, again thinking of how to help owners. The picture shows that out of all the searches for Prius battery repair, most relevant searches came from California.
California has the high emissions standards for automobiles. Because of this, it makes sense to own a car like the Prius. It has very low tailpipe emissions, uses less oil and fuel making it a good choice to help the environment and your pocketbook.
Prius is also a good choice for commuters as well. The traffic in the major areas can be quite awful at times, so it makes sense to own a Prius that can keep from burning fuel when it is not needed. These two reasons alone have me thinking that Prius and California go together. Much like Prius and Allbird Shoes.
Conclusion
If you live in California know that you have options when getting a replacement battery or when choosing a new Prius. Do what makes most sense for you, your car and of course your finances. Have a great weekend, and if you are in need of a battery replacement in California keep searching Google, I am sure you will find what you are looking for.
