Thinking of getting into a Toyota Prius? Take a look at what people search for a lot when asking Google about the hybrid we all know and love.

Toyota has been able to gain a cult following of hybrid owners. Prius, the car that started it all, has given many people a fresh look at loving what they drive. It is not hard to completely adore the car for all it stands for.

The Prius has brought attention to itself in a way that has people wanting to join the crowd every day. As an automotive writer, I get to see a ton of questions that people ask regarding Prius. I have been watching closely over the past seven months what most people ask.

Here are three ubiquitous things that Toyota Prius owners and non-owners are asking Google about the car.

Toyota Prius Fuel Economy
Prius is known for two things. First, it is the world's first best mass-produced hybrid. The name Prius has become synonymous with the term hybrid. The second thing is that when people think of getting a fuel-efficient car, Prius comes to mind.

Fourth Generation Toyota Prius is still boasting one of the best ratings for fuel economy. With owners reporting 55+ miles per gallon, it is hard not to look at getting a Prius. However, owners are not always asking Google for fuel economy on a new Prius, though. Many owners are looking at ways to improve fuel economy as well.

Toyota Prius Hybrid Battery
Hybrid battery repair is one of the hottest topics in the Hybrid world. Prius owners do not understand what it takes to maintain a battery properly, and it shows. I do not blame any Prius owner for not knowing how to. Not one Prius owner was ever taught about how to take care of the battery. We all were taught to drive it till failure and replace it.

While as silly as this is, just about every Prius owner does it. So what happens when the red triangle comes on and they get a P0A80? That is right; it is Google time. Prius owners pound the search engine for what this means and what it will cost to repair their beloved car. I would do the same thing if I did not know better.

Google is a great search engine that can help dig up a ton of information for people who want to learn more about their hybrid traction battery. I wholeheartedly agree that anyone who does own a Prius do as much free training as you possibly cany about how your battery functions and operates. It will help you in the long run.

Toyota Prius Catalytic Converter Theft
As the disease of catalytic converter theft continues to increase, more frustrated owners are heading to Google to see what is happening. One of the top searches that I see continually is, Stop catalytic converter theft with this new shield.

The epidemic is costing Prius owners millions of dollars a month to replace and install new converters on their cars. The thief, on the other hand, is getting away only to cash in thousands of dollars a week in scrap. It is incredibly frustrating and costly to Prius owners.

Many victims of this crime, when it happens to them, instantly head to Google to see what can be done to help them. Even so, Prius owners head into their dealer to get the converter replaced and to find a solution.

Conclusion
If you are considering a Toyota Prius but are not sure what to expect, give Google a shout out. Chances are you will find out just about everything you need to know about owning one. You will also find a plethora of happy owners who love that car.

Prius is a well-built machine, and Google will tell you that too. Thank you for reading. I look forward to seeing you in the next story. Honda Civic Hybrid Beats Toyota Prius In This One Category.
