Six days ago MSN published a detailed story that shows pictures, which MSN claims to be the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor's spy shots. And when a Ford dealership tweets you start taking it more seriously.
Earlier in June 2017 TorqueNews published a story discussing the rumor about the Ranger Raptor more in details. In that story, Patrick Rall said a Ranger Raptor inspired by the F150 Raptor is a great idea. "The F150 isn’t sold Down Under, so offering buyers in that market their own version of the Raptor, based on the popular Aussie Ranger, would make good business sense."
Now MSN has an detailed coverage on the subject, claiming that these spy shots are the 2020 Ford Raptor.
"Ford isn’t going to take Chevy’s attack lying down, as these spy photos of the Ranger “Raptor” indicate. Based on Ford’s upcoming midsize pickup, the Ranger Raptor has aggressive, wider fender flares to hide its increased track and broader stance, riding on what appear to be taller tires than the 31s available on the Colorado ZR2," MSN's Brett Evans writes in that article.
And interestingly, California based Oak-land Ford dealership also tweeted that story, kind of giving it more credibility.
Do you think this is the 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor?
