What Will Happen To Tesla and EVs In The Trump Era

I don't think Trump will curtail EV sales. Elon Musk is his friend and that's good for both Tesla and other electric vehicles. However, I fear that they won’t really support EVs and US car manufacturers will fall behind even further.

Today, the day after the historic US elections, I want to talk about the future of electric vehicles and what will happen to Tesla and the EV industry in general now that Donald Trump won the US presidential election elections. There's a lot of debate about whether or not the EV revolution is here to stay, and I think it's a really interesting topic to discuss.

I think Trump isn't going to do anything to curtail sales of Tesla cars electric vehicles in general. One of the reasons is that Elon Musk is his friend. Actually, Tesla and American electric vehicles makers will build what consumers want and purchase, and that provide profits for them. That’s how free markets work, unless government forces otherwise.

On the one hand, we have the fact that major automakers like GM, Ford, and Stellantis are all investing heavily in EVs. They're also getting a lot of government support, in the form of subsidies and tax breaks. This suggests that the EV revolution is here to stay.

On the other hand, we have the fact that none of these major automakers have yet to make a profit on an EV vehicle. Am I right or wrong? Please, correct me in the comments. This raises the question of whether or not the electric vehicle revolution is really sustainable in the long term.

I think it's important to look at the big picture here. The EV revolution is still in its early stages, and it's going to take some time for the market to mature. But I think the long-term prospects for EVs are very good.

Here are some of the reasons why I think the EV revolution is here to stay:

Of course, there are still some challenges that the EV industry needs to overcome. But I think that the EV revolution is here to stay, and that we're going to see a lot more EVs on the road in the years to come.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the EV revolution. Do you think it's here to stay? Or do you think it's just a fad? Let me know in the comments below!

I believe that only fair competition will assure an EV future. If Chinese imports are prevented or too heavily tariffed, reasonably affordable, reliable, and repairable EVs will not be available to a good proportion of the American public. If a potential EV monopoly develops with only one or two surviving automakers, everybody but them loses, and a positive EV future will be delayed.
