Nestled within the sprawling “Mopar Garage” at the 2014 North American International Auto Show was the 2014 SRT Viper shown above in a gorgeous new Stryker Green Tri Coat paint – a color choice which I believe makes this particular Viper the best looking of the new Mopar supercars while the new GT package adds performance to the "base model" Viper.
While I have never owned a green car I am a total sucker for the green hues featured on modern performance cars so seeing the 2014 SRT Viper in this stunning new Stryker Green had me falling in love with the new Viper all over again. I loved the Dodge Challenger in Green With Envy, I loved the Chevrolet Camaro in Synergy Green and I really loved the Ford Mustang Boss 302 in Gotta Have It Green so I knew before I got to the show that I would probably love the new Stryker Green Viper – and boy was I right. Unlike any of those other American performance cars clad in green, the Stryker Green 2014 SRT Viper has a glow to it like few cars Ive seen. Like Medusa’s song drew in sailors, the green glow coming from this wicked Mopar supercar drew show-goers at the 2014 NAIAS to the Mopar Garage display where they could behold the best looking new Viper thus far…at least for those of us who love green sports cars.
This Viper glows as though if the lights were turned out, it might continue to create its own light. It is just plain stunning and I don’t think that any other car could wear this shade as well as the new Viper.
The Stryker Green 2014 SRT Viper on display at the 2014 North American International Auto Show was more than just another new Viper painted green – it was also fitted with the new Grand Touring (GT) package. The Viper GT package takes some of the cues of the high end GTS package and applies them to the standard SRT Viper including the Nappa leather seats, the Bilstein Damptronic Select dual mode suspension system and the 5 mode Electronic Stability Control. This new package allows SRT Viper owners to enjoy the same high performance capabilities as the pricier Viper GTS, but without many of the niceties of the GTS package – or the big price tag of the GTS package.
The 2014 SRT Viper GT is available in two colors – Stryker Green and Venom Black – and those folks ordering a new Viper right now can order this package on their new SRT Viper.
In addition to showing off the 2014 SRT Viper GT in Stryker Green, the Mopar Garage fittingly added a handful of production and concept goodies from the Mopar Performance catalog. This Viper sports a carbon fiber x brace and carbon fiber coil covers under the hood along with matte black Sidewinder wheels, front and rear two piece StopTech rotors, front and rear carbon fiber brake ducts, a carbon fiber rear appliqué and a billet shift knob – all of which are currently available to new Viper owners. This car also features the massive rear wing and extended front corner splitters… both of which are prototypes made from carbon fiber.
