The newest car pack for the Xbox racing game Forza Horizon 3 arrives today and the star of this package is the new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – which makes its first video game appearance alongside a 1959 BMW, a 1972 Land Rover, a 1983 Volvo and a few other unique performance vehicles.
Each month, the open world racing game Forza Horizon 3 receives a handful of new vehicles as part of their “car pack” program and this month, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 hits the road of the popular series along with 7 other vehicles as part of the Duracell Car Pack.
The Duracell Car Pack is the final package included in the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, but the pack can be purchased by those who don’t have the car pass and if you only want one or two cars – you can purchase them individually as well. I have the Car Pass, so I cannot see the price of this 8-car package, but they generally cost $5-7.
The Duracell Car Pack for Horizon 3
The newest car pack for Forza Horizon 3 is sponsored by the folks at Duracell, and this package includes 8 vehicles previously unavailable on the open world racing game. The premise of the game is that you are participating in the Horizon Festival in Australia, racing on-road, off-road and in the snow of Blizzard Mountain. All of these vehicles are eligible for use in all stages of the game and this package has something for each key area of the game, with vehicles which shine both on-road and off.
The star of the Duracell Car Pack (in my opinion) is the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which makes its video game debut in this Aussie-based road racing title. The new ZL1 is marketed as being the most track-capable, road-going Camaro ever, so it seems like the perfect car for Forza Horizon.
Next, to cater to the “local” market of Australia, the Duracell Car Pack adds a 1992 Ford Falcon GT for on-road racing along with a 1972 Land Rover Series III to go off-roading or to race through the snow.
European performance car fans will be excited to see the 2015 Jaguar XES, the 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution and the 1959 BMW 507 while those folks who love the classis Nissan Skylines will be excited to get their virtual hands on the 1995 Nissan NISMO GT-RT LM.
Finally, everyone who gets the Duracell Car Pack will get a unique bonus car in the form of the 2016 GTA Spano – which happens to be finished in a Duracell racing livery. Best of all, even if you don’t buy the Duracell Car Pack, you can go to the Microsoft store, search for the Duracell GTA Spano, and you can get the unique supercar shipped to your FH3 garage for free.
The Duracell Car Pack is available right now and if you have the FH3 Car Pass, you should already have access to these cars. If you don’t have the Car Pass and you are smitten with one of these new entries to the Australian Horizon Festival, you can buy one of all of them through the Microsoft store on your Xbox One dashboard today.
