Now that the configurator pages for the 2020 Hellcat Challenger and Charger are live on Dodge.com, we know which wheels are standard and optional for the supercharged lineup.
Since the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody was introduced this past summer, we have discussed just about every aspect of that widened sport sedan. We have known for some time that there would be a handful of different wheel options for 2020, but the initial media information didn’t include images of every wheel with their descriptions. As a result, we werent exactly sure what every wheel choice would look like for the 2020 Hellcat cars, but now that the Dodge website includes the new model year, we have a look at every wheel option for the supercharged Mopar muscle cars.
2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Wheels
As you may know, the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is offered in standard width or widebody, along with either 717 horsepower in “normal” Hellcat form while the Redeye offers 797 horsepower. The 2020 Hellcat Challengers share wheels depending on the body package, not the engine, so the standard width cars (Hellcat and Redeye) share wheels and the widebody cars share wheels.
On the standard width 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the same 5-spoke wheels that have been standard since 2017 are back again. Once again, they are black, measuring 20 inches by 9.5 inches. The first optional wheel for the narrow-bodied Hellcat Challenger is the same design as the standard wheel, except it is painted “Matte Vapor” rather than black. Matte Vapor is basically gun metal grey. The other optional wheel for the 2020 Challenger Hellcat and Redeye with the original body shape is a similar design to the original 2015 Hellcat wheels. These split 7-spoke design wheels were originally available in black or Brass Monkey, but for the 2020 Challenger, they have a machined finish with granite pockets. Both optional wheels are 20 inches by 9.5 inches.
On the 2020 Challenger Hellcat and Redeye with the widebody package, the standard wheel is a 20 inch by 11 inch split 5-spoke design in Carbon Black. The first optional wheel is the beefier looking split 5-spoke from the 2018 widebody Hellcat Challenger, except now it is painted Brass Monkey. The second optional wheel is the same basic face design as the original 2015 Hellcat wheels, except the rim is wider and these are painted Granite. Like the standard wheels, the optional wheels are 20 inches by 11 inches.
2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Wheels
The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is only offered as a widebody and there are three wheel choices, not counting the package-specific wheels of the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition package.
The standard wheel choice on the 2020 Charger Hellcat is the same split 5-spoke that is standard on the widebody Challenger Hellcat. The optional wheels are the same as well, including the 2018 widebody-style wheels in Brass Monkey and the 2015 Hellcat-style wheels in Granite. All of these wheels are 20 inches by 11 inches.
All of the Dodge Hellcat cars come with Pirelli tires. The cars with 20-by-9.5-inch wheels get 275-wide rubber while the widebody cars with the 11-inch-wide wheels get 305 rubber.
