The configurator tool for the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro has gone live on Chevrolet.com, including the supercharged ZL1 and the Nurburgring-conquering 1LE package – meaning that we can all build, price and dream about the world’s most track capable muscle car.
Earlier this week, we brought you the news that the configurator tool for the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro had arrived on Chevrolet.com, at which point we looked at the miniscule price increases from 2017 to 2018. We talked about the pricing of the 2018 Camaro ZL1, but we didn’t go into any package details.
Upon looking more closely, it became apparent that we can now build the incredible ZL1 1LE online as well, so today, we bring you a look at the pricing of the best road course muscle car ever.
Building the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE
On Chevrolet.com, the 2018 Camaro ZL1 Coupe begins at $63,795, including the $995 destination fee and the $1,300 Gas Guzzler Tax. The options for the Camaro ZL1 are limited since this package comes so heavily appointed, but It can be ordered in 13 exterior colors (3 of which come with a $395 upcharge) and the 1LE package costs $7,500.
Once you add the 1LE package, you are unable to add many of the other options of the ZL1, such as the ZL1 Protection Package, the 10-speed automatic transmission and the Power Sunroof, but you can add the Performance Data Recorder for $1,300, Carbon Fiber interior trim for $500 and the premium MyLink navigation system for $495.
So, if you build a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Coupe in Hyper Blue Metallic with the 1LE package, the premium infotainment package, the carbon fiber interior trim and the Performance Data Recorder, the MSRP sits at $73,985. That makes it slightly less expensive than the 5th generation Camaro Z28, which the ZL1 1LE will obliterate on the track, while packing far more high end features inside and out.
That $74k price includes pretty much everything that you can get on the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE, so in addition to having the performance credentials to run the quickest lap time at the Germany Nurburgring of any American muscle car ever, you get every premium feature which GM has to offer in the modern Camaro.
