The configurator tool for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody is live on Dodge.com, allowing us all to build and price our ideal extra-grippy Mopar muscle car – and to begin working on a plan to buy the 707hp machine.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful muscle car on sale in America today, but with the stock 275mm-wide rear tires, traction on a hard launch. The new Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody addresses that issue, adding 305mm-wide tires at all four corners, improving grip on a hard launch and in the corners.

Adding those big, fat tires wasn’t as simple as just mounting up bigger tires on the Hellcat Challenger. To meet internal wheel/tire fitment requirements, the SRT team added composite wheel opening flares, widening the body by several inches and giving the team the space that they needed to install the big rubber out back, Also, the Widebody Hellcat Challenger has a new electric power steering system with different settings, allowing the driver to pick the steering feel which best fits their driving style. We learned that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody would have an MSRP of $71,495, but with the full “build your own” option for this new package hitting Dodge.com – we can build and price our dream Widebody Hellcat.

Widebody Hellcat Options and Prices
When building the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody online, we start with a base price of $72,590, including destination and Gas Guzzler Tax. That price applies to the 707hp muscle car with the 6-speed Tremec manual transmission, but the heavy duty 8-speed automatic can be added for an upcharge of $2,995. On the same page where you pick your transmission, you can also pick from the three new colors options for the Brembo brake calipers. The standard color is bright red, but you can pick black, gunmetal gray or orange for $495. You can also add the engine block heated for $95 – which has to be a fairly unpopular option for the Hellcat cars.

The only package currently offered for the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody on Dodge.com is the new rear seat delete package, which is free. This package removes the rear seat assembly and the rear seat belts, adding a carpeted delete panel and a cargo net.

On the “exterior” page of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody configurator, we can pick from 12 exterior colors, including Pitch Black, Maximum Steel, Granite, Destroyer Grey, Billet Silver, IndiGo Blue, Octane Red, TorRed, Go Mango, Yellow Jacket, F8 Green and White Knuckle. All of these colors are available without an upcharge, but those who don’t mind spending a little extra on the outside can pick dual full-length body stripes in Gunmetal or Carbon Fiber for $995, while the satin black hood option costs $1,995.

The interior options for the Widebody Hellcat include red seat belts for $195, a power sunroof for $1,995, the Demonic Red leather package for $250 and the Sepia leather package, which comes without an upcharge.
Building My Dream Widebody Hellcat

Were I do build and price my ideal 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody, it would go a little something like this.

On top of the $72,590 MSRP, I would add the 8-speed automatic transmission for $2,995, the Orange Brembo brake calipers for $495, the Go Mango exterior paint with the Satin Black hood for $1,995 and the black leather package – leading to an MSRP of $78,075.
