The configuration page for the 2014 Cadillac CTS Sport Sedan has gone live so those prospective midsized American luxury sedan buyers who are looking to score the newest Caddy can price out their ideal sport sedan - with a price beginning at $46,025 and shooting up towards the $70k mark when the 2014 CTS is all optioned up.
The 2014 Cadillac CTS configurator opens by offering you three engine options – the 2.0L turbo four, the 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 and the top of the line twin turbocharged 3.6L V6. If you opt for the 2.0L or NA 3.6L V6, you get your choice of rear or all wheel drive with the 2.0L-powered CTS sedan coming in Standard, Luxury, Performance or Premium trimlines while the NA 3.6L equipped models come in Luxury, Performance or Premium. If you opt for the new twin turbocharged 3.6L V6, rear wheel drive is standard and this engine is only available in Vsport and Vsport Premium trim.
The 2014 Cadillac CTS 2.0L Turbo Standard models begin at $46,025 (all price include destination) in rear drive form with the Luxury models starting at $51,925, the Performance models beginning at $58,325 and the Premium models start at $62,725. The CTS 2.0L Standard includes features like the CUE infotainment system, real wood trim, remote start, keyless entry, push button start, LED signature lighting, Brembo high performance brakes, park assist and 17 inch painted wheels. Optioning up to the Luxury trimline adds leather heated and cooled front seats, leather rear seats, a heated leather steering wheel, lane departure warning system, blind spot alert, a backup camera, HID Intellibeam headlights and 17 inch bright polished wheels. Those who add the Performance Package to the 2014 Cadillac CTS Standard get Magnetic Ride Control, a full color heads up display, navigation, a Bose sound system, a sunroof, automatic park assist, rear and rear side window shades, illuminated door handles, heated rear seats and 18 inch painted wheels while the top of the line Premium package adds full leather seating with 20 way adjustable front seats, an adjustable gauge cluster, carbon fiber or real wood interior accents, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking as part of the collision prevention system, aluminum sport pedals, an advanced security package and 18 inch polished wheels. Adding all wheel drive to the 2.0L Turbo CTS adds $2,000 to the pricing of all trimlines.
The 2014 Cadillac CTS 3.6L comes with the Luxury package as standard and it includes all of the features of the CTS Luxury model with the 2.0L engine with a price of $54,625. The Performance model starts at $61,025 while the Premium package for the CTS 3.6L NA V6 starts at $65,425 – both of which come with the same basic features as the four cylinder models with the exception of the more powerful engine. As is the case with the four cylinder models, the base V6 also offers all wheel drive to all models for $2,000.
The big daddy of the current 2014 Cadillac CTS sport sedan lineup (not including any future V Series model not yet introduced) is the Vsport package powered by the 420 horsepower/ 430lb-ft of torque twin turbocharged 3.6L V6. This model also includes an 8-speed automatic transmission, Magnetic Ride Control with track mode, an electronic limited slip differential, sport steering, park assist, navigation, a Bose sound system and 18 inch wheels painted “midnight silver” – with an MSRP of $59,995. Upgrade to the 2014 CTS Vsport Premium sedan and you get full leather with 20 way adjustable front seats, an adjustable gauge cluster, carbon fiber or wood interior trim, aluminum sport pedals, adaptive cruise control, a sunroof, tri zone climate control and 18 inch “ultrabright” machined wheels for $69,995.
If you build a fully loaded 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport sedan in Red Obsession Tintcoat (a $995 option) and Jet Black with Morello Red Accents (a $1,650 option) and Performance brake pads (+$100), you have yourself a new midsized Caddy sedan that will set you back $72,740…which is a couple grand more than the 556 horsepower 2013 CTS-V.
