Caravaggio Corvettes offers an extensive list of high-end upgrades for the C7 Z06, transforming the supercharged supercar into a carbon fiber-and-leather-clad luxury-performance machine, but if you want this premium look, you had better be prepared to hand over premium money.
While the Chevrolet Corvette has assumed a more premium feel over the past few generations, Caravaggio sees the possibility to add more luxury to the great American sports car. The company offers parts for the C5, C6 and C7 era Corvettes, and in each case, Caravaggio makes the exterior more aggressive, the interior more luxurious and the performance levels are enhanced.
For the C7 Corvette Z06, the company has cooked up a huge spread of carbon fiber exterior pieces and leather-wrapped interior components, allowing owners of the supercharged Vette to add a super-premium, bespoke design to their late model Chevrolet.
Exterior
On the outside, Caravaggio offers a unique front/side splitter package for $1,995, carbon fiber rear winglets for $1,095, two different carbon fiber hoods with pricing ranging from $1,495 to $1,695, the “big mouth hood vent” for $645, uniquely painted headlights for $950 and a painted A-pillar for $650. The company also offers monoblock, single-lug racing wheels measuring 20 “by 10” up front and 21” by 12.5” out back, which cost $9,800 without tires.
If you add up all of the Caravaggio exterior upgrades that work together, including the exposed carbon fiber hood with the big mouth vent, the package price sits at $16,830. Add on another $1,295 if you want uniquely painted brake calipers, for a final price of $18,125 for the total Caravaggio Z06 facelift.
Interior
On the inside, Caravaggio really takes customization to the next level, offering pretty much every piece of the interior in either carbon fiber or wrapped in leather.
The centerpiece of the company’s offerings for the C7 Z06 is their Sebring Seats, which have a carbon fiber rear construction and a custom, leather seating surface. According to the company, these seats are based on C6 Corvette seats with a race-style design and factory functionality, with a myriad of choices when it comes to leather colors, stitching colors, etc. These seats cost $6,375, but there is no question that they look amazing from the front and the rear.
Next, Caravaggio offers two upgraded steering wheels for the C7 Corvette Z06 with a similar design, but one has an extra dose of carbon fiber. The basic steering wheel costs $1,375 while the carbon fiber unit costs $2,195 and in either case, the custom horn button costs $645 and you can see a center-stripe for $125. In other words, the top of the line steering wheel will set you back about $2,965.
Finally, the company has a long list of parts offered in carbon fiber and an even longer list of parts that can be wrapped in custom leather. For example, you can get the entire dash wrapped in custom leather for $3,595 or the entire inner door panels can be done for $3,495. A leather-wrapped glove box door costs $595, as do leather-wrapped sun visors, while full Alcantara carpeting costs $4,295 in the coupe and $3,295 in the convertible. To get all of the leather bits in a coupe will cost around $21,985 while all of the carbon fiber interior parts add up to $5,995. When you add those items together, the complete leather and carbon fiber trim layout from Caravaggio for a C7 Corvette Z06 coupe costs $27,980. Add in the premium steering wheel and the custom seats, and you get a package price for the interior of $37,320.
Add that to the $18,125 price tag for the exterior upgrade package and the Caravaggio Corvette Z06 has a package price of roughly $55,445, and that doesn’t include labor, tires for the new wheels or anything else needed for the install.
Oh, Caravaggio will also soon offer a tuning package for the C7 Corvette Z06 that will lift output from 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque to 730 horsepower and 730 lb-ft of torque, with an expected price of $7,500. Add that onto the cost of the interior and exterior upgrades and you have a total upgraded price of $62,945.
Yes, that is a whole lot of money, especially with the base price of a new Z06 coupe being right around $80,000, but if you are a new Corvette owner who has deep pockets and who wants a bespoke, luxury-laden supercar – Caravaggio can build you the ideal Z06.
Yeah Caravaggio has earned a
Yeah Caravaggio has earned a reputation for building quality custom interiors for many years now. Of course it is a big bag of money spent, but as opposed to some shops that do a lot of flash customization work, but who are unreliable, and whose quality is sketchy, Caravaggio has proven their craftsmanship and skills over many years. Unfortunately, it's out of my price range, but I have seen a lot of their good work at car shows and car meets, and it is always impressive.
