In addition to the revised front and rear end, the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will feature a striking new exterior color choice – Deep Magenta Metallic – and that eye catching hue will make its grand debut at the upcoming 2014 Chicago Auto Show.
General Motors hasn’t offered up any images of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro in the new Deep Magenta Metallic but the rendering above should offer a pretty good idea as to what we can expect when this new hue debuts on the 2014 Camaro. While General Motors hasn’t shown us the Deep Magenta that will grace the Camaro, the automaker has shown us the 2014 Chevy Sonic in this pinkish-purpleish hue and based on that – the rendering above is likely a pretty accurate representation of what the color will look like on the Camaro.
Shown here on a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS, Deep Magenta appears to be a color that may not be for everyone but this is one of those colors that will turn heads.
This might be a color that some men refuse due to the pinkish nature but for those Camaro buyers who want a car that will stand out in any crowd, Deep Magenta should be a popular choice. The Dodge Challenger was offered in a similar color named Furious Fuchsia a few years back and while it didn’t challenge the more traditional exterior colors, that purple-pink hue proved to be fairly popular. Also like Dodge’s Furious Fuchsia, Deep Magenta will be offered for a limited time so these uniquely colored GM muscle cars are likely to become more collectable down the road so those buyers who purchase cars to strictly enjoy on a rainy day might find this limited edition color particularly attractive.
It is unclear where the rendering above of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Deep Magenta Metallic originated or who is responsible for this image but I found it on the Facebook page of the Camaro aftermarket experts at Phastek Performance. Whether this is a leaked GM image or a rendering executed by a skilled photoshop artist – props to Phastek for posting this image for Camaro fans to chew on ahead of the color’s debut in the Windy City.
The 2014 Chicago Auto Show opens to the media on February 6th and the public will fill McCormick Hall beginning on February 8th so Chevrolet performance lovers will have to wait about two weeks to check out the newest limited edition color on the 2014 Camaro but when official images of this new hue are introduced by GM – you can be sure to find them here on TorqueNews.com.
