This 1967 Camaro RS/SS packs 632 cubic inches of big block power and it is as quick as it is beautiful.
For several years now, TorqueNews has worked with the members from the Camaros Unlimited Facebook group to select our Camaro of the Month. This begins with the members of the Camaros Unlimited Facebook page – more than 43,000 of them – nominating their favorite Chevrolet Camaro owned by a fellow member of the page. After five owners have been nominated by the community, the voting begins and when the balloting closes, we have our Camaro of the Month.
For November 2019, the huge crowd of Chevrolet muscle car fans picked this 1967 Camaro RS/SS owned by Richard Tyler. We reached out to Tyler for more information on his big block pro street machine and below, you will find his story.
8-Second Big Block
It is a 1967 RS/SS Camaro with 632 big block Chevy, Coen 400 turbo transmission, 4-link Ford 9-inch rear differential, Aerospace disk brakes and rack and pinion steering.
I purchased this 1967 Camaro in 2015, the car is all steal with a fiberglass hood. The car was originally from Norwalk with a rare M-M paint code. The car has been completed gone through, has custom aluminum work and carbon fiber tubes. I use this car to go to cruise spots and the local race track, where it runs the quarter mile in the low 8-second range.
I would like to thank my wife for supporting me over the years of drag racing hobbies and pro street cars that have taken time from being with her.
Congratulations to Richard Tyler and his 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS for being named the Camaro of the Month for November 2019. If you would like to participate in the Camaro of the Month program with your Chevy muscle car, click here to join Camaros Unlimited!
