If you have been dreaming of rocketing around a race track in the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but you cannot deal with the $80k+ price tag, those dreams can become a reality in Las Vegas for just $299 – as Exotics Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has added the new Corvette Z06 to their fleet of high performance cars available for on-track rental driving.
If you have never heard of Exotics Racing, it is a company based at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway facility where visitors can rent all sorts of high end performance cars for on-track fun. That list of performance cars now includes the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, so those Corvette lovers who can’t afford to buy one can make a trip to Vegas and get behind the wheel of the new Z06 for as little as $299.
“The Z06 is certainly one of the most advanced American sports cars on the road, it could be one of the best too,” said Romain Thievin, Exotics Racing’s Founder and CEO. “This Corvette is lighter, more nimble, and full of aerodynamic design-elements that allow the driver to push the limit. Also, we are the first driving experience in Las Vegas that allows guests to get behind the wheel of this beast and test its limits.”
The Exotics Racing Experience
I have never attended a session with Exotics Racing in Las Vegas, but I have been at a media event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway while there was a group of drivers testing the Exotics Racing vehicles in the same complex. While I was throwing a Lexus GS350 F Sport around one road course, there were folks in Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Audis on one of the other tracks and – needless to say – it looked like quite a bit of fun.
The way that it works is that you pick a car and the number of laps you wish to run, with the cost varying based on the vehicle that you select. You are then strapped into your car with a professional driving instructor and sent out onto the 1.2 mile road course. The instructor gives you pointers as you go around the track, helping you to make the most out of your track time while going as fast as possible as safely as possible. The lowest number of laps available is 5 and for extra money, you can run up to 20 laps in your dream supercar.

Cost of Racing the Corvette Z06
While he 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the newest car in the Exotics Racing stable, the fact that it is one of the least expensive to buy makes it one of the less expensive to rent for track use. The base 5 lap package at Las Vegas Motor Speedway costs just $299, so while a well driven Z06 will get you around the track quicker than the far more expensive models like the Lamborghini Aventador – you can enjoy the experience for quite a bit less money. That same package with the new Lambo will run you $499, making it the most expensive car in the ER fleet at the moment.
If you want to run more than 5 laps in the C7 Corvette Z06, you can add laps at the price of $50 per lap with discount packages available for 7, 10 and 20 lap sessions. The 5 lap package effectively costs you $60 per lap while the 20 lap package at “just” $1,049 cuts the price per lap to just $52 per lap.
So, next time you go to Las Vegas, keep in mind that for just $300, you can swing over and make five laps at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the 2015 Corvette Z06.
