Ram serves as the official truck of the Kentucky Derby for the 10th year, including a special edition premium package.
The Kentucky Derby is the biggest race in the American thoroughbred horse racing world, packed with the top three-year-olds from around the world and since the Ram brand was introduced as a separate entity of Dodge, it has been the official automotive sponsor of the legendary horse race. For 2019, Ram is celebrating its 10th year as a key sponsor of the Kentucky Derby and once again, the automaker has rolled out a special Kentucky Derby Edition package.
“The Kentucky Derby remains one of America’s most recognized sporting events,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. “This hardworking truck is packed with exclusive technology, luxury and good looks that make it fit to wear the Kentucky Derby name.”
For 2019, the Ram trucks sporting the Kentucky Derby Edition package are the all-new 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups. With the Ram HD offering the most power – with 1,000 lb-ft of torque – and class-leading towing and hauling figures, these trucks are a perfect option for horse owners who pull a big, heavy trailer. However, with the horse racing world being a premium, money-laden sport, this Kentucky Derby Ram HD packs big power, big capabilities and big luxury.

Ram at the Derby
The 145th running of the Kentucky Derby will be run on May 4th with a post time of 6:50pm. The race and all of the day’s events leading up to the Derby will be broadcast on NBC, which will also allow you to see the presence of the Ram brand at Churchill Downs, but there will be plenty of Ram-branded goodness for attendees as well.
Horse racing fans who come to Churchill Downs will be able to check out on-site vehicle displays, video board integration and signage spread throughout the venue. Some of that signage will be visible on the television broadcast, especially if Ram logos cover the large roofs of the buildings around the track, but there will also be Ram brand commercials running during the day-long event broadcast.
