Liqui Moly, a German oil company, has introduced two premium motor oils, including one specifically for Mercedes automobiles.
They are Top Tec ATF 1200 and Top Tec ATF 1600.
The 1600 is a Mercedes oil, the 1200 an all-round oil for lots of different cars.
The Top Tec ATF 1200 is based on synthetic HC-based oils in combination with the latest high-performance additives. This ensures optimum stability that slows aging, provides strong protection against wear and good friction properties.
Top Tec ATF 1200 performs well under extreme operating conditions and up and down temperatures.
Top Tec 1200 is approved for General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Mazda, Honda, Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Volvo and Subaru vehicles. It is also suited for commercial vehicles from Daimler, MAN, ZF and Voith.
“This wide range of applications makes our ATF 1200 a valuable item for retailers and garages,” said Gary Boyd, sales manager at Liqui Moly.
“You don't need to keep dozens of different transmission oil types in stock. With just one you are able to cover a significant portion of all vehicles on the road.”
Liqui Moly Top Tec ATF 1600 is a specialty oil. It was especially developed for Mercedes cars.
It meets the Mercedes specifications MB 236.12 and MB 236.14, which must be fulfilled for the latest generation of Mercedes Benz 7-speed automatic transmissions.
ATF 1600 also is compatible with older Mercedes-Benz 5-speed automatic transmissions.

The oils are available at Worldpac, IMC, NAPA, Bavarian Autosport, Northside Imports and SSF.
