A day after Black Friday 2011, when the nation is searching for doorbuster deals and discounts on Thanksgiving weekend, Kia has found a clever way to bring people to its booth at the 2011 LA Auto Show by showcasing the custom golf-themed KIA Soul and female golf star, Michelle Wie at it's booth.
The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) star Michelle Wie will be signing autographs at Kia's display booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 26th, 2011. She will be meeting with fans and showcasing the golf-themed Kia Soul. What makes this gold-themed Soul special? It will feature Michelle Wie's own artwork on the outside and inside of the car.
Kia partnered with West Coast Customs to build this one-off Soul inspired by Michelle Wie. Wie’s personal artwork is creative yet simple. The artwork on the outside of the Soul are cute, multicolored cartoon characters. Wie’s artwork and personal logo also are integrated into the Soul’s 'Snow White' leather headrests, while a baby blue painted dash and pink headliner and seating accents complete the whimsical interior look.
The artwork is not the only interesting feature and design of this Kia Soul. If you open the door, you are in for a surprise. You will be instantly transported to the golf course by the artificial grass flooring installed throughout the Soul. Gamers will be happy to open the trunk, which reveals a virtual driving range with a 26-inch LED TV monitor mounted into the rear hatch and a Microsoft X-Box 360 video game console. Including the new Microsoft Kinect system to play golf out of the back of the vehicle. Two of Wie’s golf bags are mounted behind the TV and conceal 8-inch speakers and a subwoofer, for playing music or video games.
Michelle Wie has been a Kia spokesperson since 2010. She has also done advertisements for the company. Wie is one of the most recognizable young athletes around the world. Her artistic talents can be seen in the custom-embroidered gold bags she uses when playing, which like the golf-themed Kia Soul also feature her original artwork.
If you live in Northern California, you might even seen Michelle driving around a Kia Soul around Stanford University, where she attends school.
The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) star Michelle Wie will be signing autographs for fans at Kia's booth at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 26th from 11am-1pm. Be sure to drop by and meet her if you are at the show then.
