Named in honor of the seven Jaguar wins at Le Mans, the F-Type Project 7 is a road-legal two-seater inspired by the D-Type.
Jaguar had introduced the F-TYPE Project 7 at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year. That blockbuster unveiling has been followed by the much-anticipated unveil of the new F-TYPE Project 7 for the United States at 2014 Monterey Car Week during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this weekend.
The Project 7 was named after Jaguar's seven wins at Le Mans and the car itself is inspired by the Jaguar D-Type, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year.
This special project of the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicles Operations team is a Jaguar F-TYPE for limited production in all-aluminum as a fully road-legal two-seater roadster with bespoke aerodynamic aids. The F-TYPE Project 7 also features a 575 horsepower 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that gives the car a 0-60 mph time of only 3.8 seconds. Top speed is 186 miles per hour.
Two standard color schemes, Glacier White (above) and Ultra Blue. The former is the feature color for the car while the second is Jaguar's take on French Racing Blue, which is the signature color of the Jaguar Land Rover SVO team. Optional upgrade colors can include British Racing Green, Ultimate Black, and Caldera Red.
The Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 is limited to only 250 units globally and has an MSRP starting at $165,000 plus delivery.
