Just when you thought Transformers 4’s vehicular cast couldn’t get any better, director Michael Bay has added a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe.

Although Michael Bay has left filmgoers primarily in the dark when it comes to the plot of his upcoming Transformers sequel, the director has been more than forthcoming when it comes to the film's cast—especially the automobiles.

Over the past two weeks, Bay has revealed six customized vehicles that are set to appear in Transformers 4. On Thursday, the action director released a photo of the latest addition to the movie’s vehicular cast: a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe. There’s no word yet on what character the Aventador will portray, but based on its appearance it may depict a Decepticon—which are the antagonists in the fictional Transformers Universe.

While the film’s Lamborghini Aventador will likely be a modified version of the supercar, the base model is nothing to sneer at. The $400,000 Aventador features Lamborghini’s new 700 horsepower 6.5L V12 engine, has a top speed of 217 mph, and travels from 0-62 in under three seconds. Its transmission is a single-clutch seven-speed semi-automatic built by Graziano Transmission.

In addition to being part of the Transformers 4 lineup, the Lamborghini Aventador also made headlines recently when the Dubai Police added the vehicle to its arsenal. Unlike Bay’s matte black Aventador, this version has been painted in the green-and-white colors of the Dubai police force.

Despite its hefty price tag, the Aventador isn’t the most expensive vehicle on the Transformers 4 set; that title goes to the $2.4 million Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse. According to Bay, the supercar will depict an Autobot—the equivalent of the “good guys” in the Transformers mythos. It shouldn’t be hard for the Grand Sport Vitesse to elude its Decepticon counterparts thanks to its 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque.

Aside from Italian race cars, the upcoming Transformers film will also feature some American muscle. As Torque News reported last month, the movie will include a custom lime-green 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Equipped with a V8 engine capable of producing 460 horsepower, the C7 Corvette is the most powerful base model Corvette in history.

As for Transformers' human cast, the forthcoming sequel stars Mark Wahlberg (Pain and Gain), Nicola Peltz (Bates Motel), Jack Reynor (What Richard Did), Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games), T.J. Miller (The Goodwin Games), and Kelsey Grammer (Boss). Noticeably absent from the cast is Shia LaBeouf, who starred in the franchise’s first three installments.

Plot details are scarce, but Bay has confirmed that Transformers 4 will take place four years after the events of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Look for Transformers 4 when it hits theaters on June 27, 2014.

Stay tuned for more for vehicle updates as they continue to be released over the following weeks.
