The Prius c is refreshed for 2015. Here’s what’s changed.

The Prius c gets a new nose for 2015. The Prius c now looks a bit more like the rest of the Toyota family from the front, particularly the Yaris. The lights have now all gone LED. Up front, the high and low beams are single LED projector style. The Tail and stoplights also use LEDs. LEDs have the advantage of using less electricity, which is more than a bit helpful in a vehicle partly powered by electricity from regenerative braking. The new styling is coupled with attention-getting new exterior colors as well. Included are Electric Lime Metallic, Tangerine Splash Pearl and Sparkling Sea Metallic.

Prius Interior Changes
Inside the 2015 Prius c gets a makeover as well. Options inside now include piano black and chrome trim. The seats can also be two-tone fabric. Cabin materials are premium throughout. On the Prius c Four trim level, a moonroof and backup camera has been added to the standard equipment list.

Prius c Trims and Prices
The 2015 Prius c trims are easy to understand. The Prius c starts with the One and continues up the trim line with Two, Three, and Four. The sparsely optioned Prius One is Toyota’s lowest priced hybrid model. It starts at just $19,540. That is up about 2% over last year.

The Prius c Two adds items including cruise control and piano black trim. It has an MSRP of $20,340 up about 1% over the 2014 model. The Prius c Three adds alloy wheels and a moonroof. Its 2015 price is unchanged from last year at $21,765. The Four adds larger alloy wheels, SofTex materials on seats and the steering wheel, and other amenities. Its price is now up about 5% to $24,475.

The Prius c is notable for a few reasons. It is the most fuel efficient car that uses liquid fuel and no plug in the US market. It is also marketed under a different name and is the most popular vehicle in the Japanese market.
