The 2015 Toyota Sienna seems to be tripping over awards lately. This week, it is the Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) that is bestowing honors on the only Top Safety Pick Plus rated minivan, and the only minivan in the US market with all-wheel drive. At the annual testing event held at Texas Motor Speedway, the Sienna ran the table on the possible awards it could win.
TAWA Calls Sienna Best Minivan and Best Family Car
After evaluating 54 vehicles, the Texas Automotive Writers chose the Sienna over the competition. Commenting on the Sienna’s strong showing, KC Kirimoto, vice president of product and global communications for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. said, “Toyota’s commitment to enhancing the 2015 Sienna was focused not only on new safety features.”
Other TAWA Winners
The Car of Texas award went to the exciting new Chrysler 300. Lexus’ new NX crossover won both the Activity Vehicle of Texas and also Green Vehicle of Texas awards. The TAWA award for Truck of Texas is awarded separately in the summer.
