Toyota has updated the new 2016 Avalon. Here's what changes.
Toyota has refreshed the very successful Avalon for 2016. Calling this car that debuted in 2012 a success in an understatement. Since its last full redesign sales have about doubled and critics grudgingly admit that what was once a frumpy old person's car, is now one of he best-driving affordable large cars in the US market. For this new model year Toyota refreshed the front and rear appearance and adds more content to popular trim levels.
New Avalon Look
The front has a wider lower front grill and is narrower on the upper grill. The vertical side lights are now turn signals replacing fog lights. In the back the LED taillights are changed and the rear bumper has a new chrome accent.
XLE and XLE Plus Additions
The Avalon XLE and XLE Plus will see some new equipment for 2016. 17" alloys, wood grain dash treatment (yuck), and tire specific TPMS monitoring.
XLE Premium Additions
The XLE Premium also has new equipment, most notably premium Entune audio with Nav and App suite. Also included will be new 18" gray alloy wheels, a sportier front fascia, LED headlights and daytime driving lights.
Look for 2016 models as early as fall of next year.
