The all-new 2023 Prius will be 100% plug-in hybrid for the European market, according to a press release by Toyota of Europe.
The all-new Prius arrives tonight for the North American market. Watch for a 930 pm EST full reveal. If you want a sneak peek at the all-new 2023 Prius Prime plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle, Toyota of Europe has answered your prayers.
The new Prius is lower in its roofline, longer, and more stylish. We can see from the images released last night from Toyota of Europe that the global Prius also gets a new infotainment system.
We have the details under embargo until tonight, but the Toyota of Europe press release says that the new Prius will have approximately 220 hp from its 2.0-liter engine and hybrid drive system. That is a massive increase in power, and we expect the new Prus Prime will be downright quick off the line.
EV range has been dramatically increased to approximately 38 miles of range when fully charged. This will place the Prius Prime near the top of the list of PHEVs sold in America and satisfy most Americans’ daily driving needs.
Please forgive the brevity of our report. Torque News has prepared multiple detailed stories for this evening, pending the release of the information to the public.
