The Subaru Crosstrek is hot, and when the new model arrives, it won't cool off. So here are twelve reasons why the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek will remain America's most desirable small SUV.
Will the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek be as popular with customers as the current generation model? The Subaru Outback midsize SUV and Subaru Forester compact SUV have been the best-selling Subaru models for a long time. However, in 2022, the hot Crosstrek subcompact SUV passed both models in sales to take over the number one spot.
This report reveals twelve reasons why the all-new next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek will remain the hottest small SUV in America.
1. The size is ideal for urban commuters. The 2024 Crosstrek did not grow in size, but they stay nimble for urban commuters and will be fuel efficient. These are two things a new generation of customers is looking for now.
2. Full economy is another big win for the Crosstrek. Both engines are fuel efficient. What is Crosstrek's fuel mileage? The EPA still needs to release the 2024 Crosstrek's fuel mileage.
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek uses direct injection on its new 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine and gets 27/34 city/highway mpg and 29 combined mpg.
The 2023 Crosstrek 2.0-liter engine gets 28/33 mpg and 30 combined mpg with the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) automatic, contributing to better mileage. In addition, Subaru increased fuel mileage in the new 2023 Crosstrek using a four-cylinder Boxer engine with direct-injection technology.
What type of gas does the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek require?
The 2024 Crosstrek runs on regular 87-octane unleaded gasoline, so you don't need the higher mid-grade or premium fuel to get the best city or highway mileage.
3. The Crosstrek comes with Standard Symmetrical all-wheel-drive; you don't pay extra for the feature like other small SUVs. It also has 8.7 inches of ground clearance for trekking through the wilderness, like the Outback and Forester larger SUVs.
4. Crosstrek offers two engines, a 2.0-liter Boxer engine for Base and Premium trims. A 2.5-liter Boxer engine with an additional 30 horsepower for outdoor enthusiasts who want to get further off the grid for highway and rough terrain. The 2.5-liter is the same powerplant as the Outback and Forester
5. The Crosstrek offers the versatility and reliability of other Subaru models. It's a small SUV, but you can load all your camping gear and sports equipment inside or on top using the standard roof rails. Optional crossbars are available for loading cargo boxes or rooftop carriers for mountain bikes, kayaks, or snowboards.
6. Crosstrek has a sporty appearance. The wheels on the upper trims come with a saw blade appearance that sets it apart from all other Subaru and other small SUVs. Crosstrek also offers unique colors you won't find on other models. The 2024 Crosstrek comes in a new Alpine Green and Aqua Blue Metallic.
7. All 2024 Crosstrek trims will now come with standard EyeSight driver assist technology. It features Crosstrek's auto-emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane centering. And blind spot indicator detection is available.
8. All Crosstrek trims have excellent outward visibility with front and rear wing windows not offered on other small SUVs. As a result, the driver can quickly look over their right shoulder and see the blind spot.
9. Crosstrek offers remote start capability with the MySubaru app. You can warm up the vehicle remotely using your smartphone.
10. 2024 Crosstrek now comes standard with an 11.6-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
11. The price is the most significant reason the Crosstrek will stay the hottest small SUV. The Crosstrek offers the most value. So what is the cost of the 2024 Crosstrek?
For 2024, the Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim levels and has a starting price of $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission).
The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225). The Premium trim price increased by +$70, the Sport +$1,070, and Limited +$1,470.
12. The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness edition will be introduced soon. The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness will have increased ground clearance (likely 9.2-inches like Forester), 17-inch black wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires, dual-function X-Mode, StarTex upholstery, a 180-degree front monitor, anodized Copper interior, and exterior accents, and Wilderness badging.
When will the Crosstrek Wilderness be available?
Outdoor enthusiasts won't have to wait much longer for the more rugged Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness trim level. Like the Sport and Limited trims, we expect the Crosstrek Wilderness to be built at the U.S. plant in Lafayette, Indiana. The new Wilderness family is growing, and its latest addition will be unveiled on April 5, 2023, at the NYIAS. Stay tuned.
