Usain Bolt, who just won gold again at the Rio Olympics, and the newly launched 2017 Nissan GT-R, share something in common. Usain Bolt is the world’s fastest human, Nissan has the fastest mass-produced car, the 2017 GT-R. The two make a great pair and both were featured in an upcoming short documentary film. Bolt, Nissan’s Global Director of Excitement, owns a GT-R and is featured with his “Bolt Gold” high-performance car.
Fans around the globe got to see Usain win the gold in Rio. Now they get to see Usain with his one-off custom Nissan GT-R. The new 2017 Nissan GT-R will soon be available in Brazil where the 2016 Olympics are being held. To see the world's fastest man driving the world's fastest mass-produced car is exhilarating," said Ronaldo Znidarsis, VP Marketing & Sales, Nissan Brazil.
Nissan released a two-minute, documentary-style film showing Bolt being challenged in a fictional Fire Research Laboratory to contend against the speed of a flame. He also talks about his “Bolt Gold” Nissan GT-R that was presented to him after the 2012 Olympic games.
Bolt shares in the video below what it feels like to be the fastest man on the planet and how he prepares to compete on the world's biggest stage. Bolt says, "I set goals for myself. My goal is to be the greatest." The video, filmed in Bolt's home country of Jamaica, also shows the sprinter driving his custom Nissan GT-R painted in "Bolt Gold."
There’s another thing these two high-performance machines have in common. This is a memorable year for both Nissan and Usain Bolt in the South American country of Brazil. Usain Bolt gets his third gold medal in the 100 meters. The all-new 2017 Nissan GT-R will be launched in Brazil later this year.
