The all-new 2015 Subaru WRX and 2015 WRX STI are available for Canadian performance fans to see and pricing has been announced. But the price is going down?
There is good news for Canadian performance fans. The all-new 2015 Subaru WRX and 2015 WRX STI make their debut across Canada and pricing for the performance cars has been announced. Both models arrive with better performance and are a better value than the outgoing model. The new-generation WRX And WRX STI arrives in Canada with a drop in pricing over the previous generation performance models.
Pricing for the 2015 Subaru WRX with a 6-speed manual will start at $29,995 Canadian while the 2015 Subaru WRX STI starts at $37,995. Both Subaru performance models arrive in Canada and the U.S. with a drop in price. The 2014 WRX started at $32,495, the 2014 WRX STI started at $38,195. Both cars are now a better value than before. The Japanese Yen has been steadily dropping creating a more favorable exchange rate against the Canadian dollar. That’s good news for performance fans across Canada.
Both the all-new 2015 WRX and WRX STI will be available in three trim levels, debuting with the best performance ever and are a better value. 2015 WRX with the new CVT automatic starts at $31,295. WRX Sport Package 6MT $32,495, CVT $33,795. WRX Sport-tech Package 6MT $35,495, CVT $36,795.
The 2015 WRX STI is also available in three trim levels. The WRX STI base model 6MT starts at $37,995. WRX STI Sport Package $40,495, WRX STI Sport-tech Package $44,995. These are also a drop in price over the previous generation models.
The new rally-bred sedans arrive in Canada with better performance. 2015 WRX gets a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, direct injection turbocharged Boxer engine that now produces 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It also features a new 6-speed manual transmission or optional Sport Lineartronic.
2015 WRX also features a new torque-vectoring system that works with the standard symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive and stiffer chassis that delivers better stability, and improved high-speed cornering and handling.
Subaru’s global performance flagship model, the 2015 WRX STI, also offers a stiffer chassis for improved performance in the corners. Handling has been enhanced with firmer springs and quicker steering response (13.3:1 ratio) for improved control. It still features the 2.5-liter turbocharged Boxer engine producing 305 horsepower. Active Torque Vectoring has been added to the performance model’s proven rally-bred technologies.
Performance fans in Canada can check out both cars at the Toronto (February 14-23), Quebec (March 4-9), Calgary (March 12-16), Vancouver (March 25-30) and Edmonton (April 10-13) auto shows. The all-new 2015 Subaru WRX and 2015 WRX STI will be available in Canadian showrooms March 2014. It doesn't get any better than this, a new-generation WRX / STI at a lower price.
