MotorWeek’s winner for “Best Sport Sedan” is the perennial favorite, the 2015 Subaru WRX in the annual Drivers' Choice Awards.
The all-new 2015 Subaru WRX isn’t even out of the starting blocks and it’s already taking home awards. The newest-generation performance sports car from Subaru has won MotorWeek’s “Best Sport Sedan” in their annual Drivers' Choice Awards.
MotorWeek’s winner for Best Sport Sedan, the 2015 Subaru WRX is a perennial favorite. The new WRX has just been unveiled around the globe and is available for order now in U.S. dealerships. 2015 WRX now gets a new 2.0-liter powerplant that develops 268 horsepower and 258 lb ft of torque. The WRX engine is the all-new 2.0-liter FA turbocharged Boxer version of the new Forester 2.0 XT powerplant. But the WRX version uses different cams and higher-rate valve springs and other enhancements to enhance the performance envelope.
For 2015, the Subaru WRX also gets upgrades to the suspension and chassis. The new-generation WRX features a new torque-vectoring system that supplements the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The Torque vectoring should improve cornering speeds and handling in the curves. WRX also comes with a new and stiffer chassis, larger brakes, and performance-tuned suspension.
Here’s what MotorWeek had to say about the new WRX. “With this latest WRX, Subaru is trying to cut the ties from the Impreza label on which it is still based. Some may bemoan the loss of the hatchback, but the sedan looks plenty aggressive, and rides that way too. Suspension feel is stiffer, but greatly improved handling comes with it. There’s a new 6-speed manual and Sport tuned CVT if you must. And even with all of the upgrades, price remains about the same as before. And, to top it off, a hotter WRX STi arrives soon.”
Each year MotorWeek rolls out the red carpet for their annual Drivers' Choice Awards. These are the cars anyone would like to have parked in their driveway. They look at factors that matter most to consumers. Things like price, practicality, performance and fuel efficiency all factor in to their decision. Then their editorial staff selects the best models in a variety of lifestyle categories ranging from family sedan to luxury car, to large utilities and pickups. From that group, an overall best of the year is chosen. MotorWeek's Drivers' Choice Awards have been presented annually since 1983.
This year, the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX has won MotorWeek’s “Best Sport Sedan” in the annual Drivers' Choice Awards. This will likely be the first of many awards Subaru's newest performance car will win. Next up is the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI that is an even hotter version for performance fans.
Well since I live in belgium
Well since I live in belgium with its curse of lights everywhere and stop and go driving and traffic jams everywhere I would of honestly loved a AT option(I drive a 7AT 370Z) and I was looking for a new car since I need more seats soon with the missus moving in. problem is. I am engaged to american. american driving licenses don't mention AT or MT. in belgium if you do your drivers license with an AT you can ONLY drive AT and not MT. so I am worried that she is gonna come here and be told she can only drive AT meaning she wouldn't be able to drive this car.
so yeah. I really want this but I can hardly buy a car she won't be able to drive(unless she completely redoes the driving exam here). I have no issue with the MT not at all(though AT is such a bliss plus double clutch gearboxes shift faster than anybody can) so yeah I guess I will check out the EVO X now even though its so much more expensive over here and I don't really like the looks.
good job subaru you probably lost a sale
