The all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza has been seen testing under heavy camouflage in Japan and photos reveal it won’t look anything like the concept car. What is coming on the 2017 Impreza?
Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of Subaru automobiles is developing a new global architecture that will start with the 2017 Impreza and new hybrid technology that will be featured in the Impreza and Crosstrek models. The Impreza Concept points to the new underpinnings that will be featured in all Subaru vehicles in the future.
Starting with next year’s models, Subaru will introduce a new modularized platform called the Subaru Global Platform that will support every model starting with the new-generation Impreza compact and make its way to the SUV-alternative Outback. It will make its debut in the new 2017 Impreza that will launch in late 2016. Don’t look for the new Impreza to look anything like the Impreza 5-Door Concept. Stay tuned.
