Customers this summer still aren't waiting for the new refreshed 2023 Subaru Ascent. See why the 2022 Ascent is only one of two Subaru models that are up in sales for 2022.
Should you buy the 2022 Ascent or wait for the refreshed 2023 models? The refreshed 2023 Subaru Ascent arrives this Fall, but customers aren't waiting for the newly-upgraded 3-Row family hauler. Subaru of America (SOA) reports that 2022 Ascent sales dropped slightly in July but are up through the first seven months of 2022.
SOA says they delivered 4,489 Ascent family haulers to customers in July, an 11.0 percent drop compared with July 2021 (5,044). But the Ascent is only one of two models in the lineup that are up in sales through the first seven months of the year. Ascent is up 6.0 percent, and the Crosstrek is up 8.4 percent year-to-date in a challenging year due to microchip shortages and supply chain issues.

"While we continue to feel the effects of the ongoing supply chain issues, we are focused on delivering the high-quality vehicles Subaru is known for," said Jeff Walters, Senior Vice President of Sales.
What sets the 2022 Ascent apart from the competition?
The Ascent comes standard with Subaru's Symmetrical all-wheel-drive, 8.7-inches of ground clearance, and X-Mode for improved off-pavement, snow and mud, and dirt road capability. Ascent also gets the highest Top Safety Pick+ crash scores from the IIHS.
