The 2023 Subaru Outback scores number one in the Midsize SUV segment, with a Motor Trend score of 8.8/10. M/T says, "When is an SUV not an SUV? When it's the Subaru Outback. This vehicle resembles a high-riding station wagon, yet it has been a longtime favorite among crossover shoppers. The Outback has been on sale since the mid-1990s, and the current generation debuted in 2020. Subaru applies several updates for 2023 to keep the Outback a top competitor."

2023 Subaru Crosstrek is the #1 top-ranked subcompact SUV
The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek scores number one in the Subcompact SUV segment with an M/T score of 9.2/10. Motor Trend says the Crosstrek is "something of a reverse halo car for Subaru. This small crossover is the brand's entry-level SUV and has become an icon with its fun color options, rugged styling, and lifted ride height."
M/T says, "The news for the 2023 Crosstrek is a Special Edition trim. Based on the Premium trim, the Crosstrek Special Edition adds dark exterior accents, red interior accents, and a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen."
