If your’e thinking about buying a Subaru BRZ sports coupe, here’s 3 reasons why now could be the best time to get the new 2016 BRZ.

The 2016 Subaru BRZ is still a great rear-drive sports coupe with the driving dynamics of a much more expensive sports car. Subaru had the engineering expertise from Subaru Technica International, their parent company Fuji Heavy Industries and Toyota when they developed the sports car. It’s still one of the best driving machines for the money on the planet. Now could be the best time to buy the sports coupe and here’s three reasons why.

Reason number 1

Subaru just lowered the price on the 2016 BRZ Premium and Limited models. The Premium models, starting at $25,395, are now $300 lower in price than the 2015 models. Limited BRZ 6-speed ($27,395) and automatic models ($28,495) also get a $300 price drop over the outgoing models. No changes were made to the powertrain as BRZ still comes powered by the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter boxer engine developing 200hp.

Reason number 2

For 2016, the BRZ receives the Subaru STARLINK Multimedia System that includes a 6.2-in. single-touch gesture display, AM/FM stereo with HD and satellite radio and single-disc CD player. It also comes with Radio Data Broadcast System, Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and audio streaming. Other features include iPod control, iTunes Tagging, a USB port and an auxiliary input jack. Smartphone integration features Aha and Pandora, along with STARLINK cloud applications iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Calendar, Music Player, news and weather.

Reason number 3

New for 2016, the BRZ sports coupe receives standard rear vision camera for added safety when backing up. BRZ Limited trim models still come with a body-color trunk spoiler, fog lights and Alcantara trimmed interior and Keyless Access. The seats are upholstered with Alcantara inserts and leather bolsters.

The BRZ Limited substitutes a dual-zone automatic climate control for the Premium model’s manual HVAC system, and its standard All-Weather Package includes dual-mode heated front seats and heated side mirrors. In the Limited, the dual visor vanity mirrors are illuminated, and front door courtesy lights illuminate when the doors are opened.

The BRZ sports coupe sales have been slowing down over the past year and Subaru is trying generate new interest in the sports car since they skipped a refreshing this year. Subaru is also offering a special edition 500-unit run of the Series.HyperBlue with a blue exterior and interior trim accented in blue. The Series.HyperBlue goes on sale later this year. According to reports, a second-generation BRZ should come out in 2018.

Until then, the 2016 Subaru BRZ sports car comes with a lower price, upgraded entertainment features and standard review camera. Now could be the best time to buy a BRZ. 2016 BRZ models will begin arriving in Subaru showrooms this fall.

Is this an article or an ad? It's hard to tell! Why don't you guys just put a like to one of Subaru's commercials and call it a day?

Unfortunately for Subaru, they'll never have my interest in getting a BRZ until they drop the EJ257 into it... it's always been ~100hp short of what I consider its true potential.

Nah I will hold out for a turbo STI version especially since the stock car is sadly slower than my daily driver (Yes, its a turbo and yes in the corners too :p oh its not a Subaru either). Turbo's are better and reliability and responsiveness is not an issue. If subaru doesn't make STI by 2018 there will be nothing stopping me from building up 2013 model with build block and turbo kit.. either way subaru either build an STI or forget about my money or a shit ton of enthusiasts that think BRZ lacks power and grip to be called a real sports car.
