Subaru has activated the 2025 Forester configurator, and new information is available to customers. Here are the details for designing the compact SUV to your specifications.

If you shop for a new, redesigned 2025 Subaru Forester, Subaru of America has a new tool available. Check it out here before you visit the dealer. I recently wrote about two new features only found on the Forester and no other Subaru model. Read my report here

The remodeled 2025 Forester compact SUV is arriving now at U.S. retailers, and a new configurator tool from Subaru of America allows you to build it to your specifications and to see which 2025 Forester trim is best.

If you are shopping for a new compact SUV, check out the 2025 Forester from my recent report here. You can choose the trim level, color, packages, and accessories and find the price. If you do this before you visit the dealer, you'll know precisely which features and options you want and the pricing.

What is the 2025 Forester pricing, and how much did the price go up? Here are the five trim levels and pricing

2025 Forester Highlights

1. All-new 2025 Subaru Forester adds a sleek, stylish exterior with a refined, quieter interior.

Subaru says, "Several functional aerodynamic improvements enhance the Forester's performance and stability. An air outlet at the trailing edge of the front wheel opening allows air to exit from the wheel well more freely, contributing to reduced lift on the front tires and improved driving stability."

2. Subaru's sixth-generation bestselling SUV offers more advanced features and improved ride quality without sacrificing handling or capability.

3. The latest-generation EyeSight Driver Assist safety technology is standard on all trim levels.

Subaru says," The newest version of the EyeSight system operates more smoothly, quickly, and under a greater range of conditions than prior versions."

4. It's the Forester's debut of the foot-activated Hands-Free Power Rear Gate

5. For the first time, the Subaru Starlink 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system is available for Forester.

What's new under the hood of the 2025 Forester?

All 2025 Forester trim levels come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine delivering 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. That is two less horsepower and two more lb-ft of torque than the 2024 Forester.

Subaru says a Lineartronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) "with smoother and quieter performance" is standard on all Forester models.

Forester Base $31,090

The 2025 Subaru Forester Base SUV is well-equipped with impressive standard features, including Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. However, it costs $2,900, and only some buyers will choose the Base trim at that price.

Forester Premium $33,390

When I studied the trim levels and pricing, I noticed that the premium trim now looks like the best value. Starting from the Forester's impressive roster of standard equipment, the 2025 Forester Premium goes further with added comfort and convenience features.

Forester Sport $35,890

The 2025 Subaru Forester Sport is a stylish SUV with unique styling elements and exceptional curb appeal. The Sport will stay a popular trim with many buyers.

Forester Limited $37,390

The 2025 Forester Limited adds more creature comforts inside, including leather-trimmed upholstery and driver assistance features. Who doesn't want more comfort?

Forester Touring $41,390

On top of the 2025 Forester lineup, the Touring trim level adds exceptional equipment for comfort and style. The Touring tops $41,000. Enjoy those heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.

Wait, Where Is The 2025 Forester Wilderness?

Unfortunately, there is no next-generation 2025 Forester Wilderness. Subaru says, "The rugged 2024 Forester Wilderness will continue in production alongside the all-new 2025 Forester and is unchanged."

The 2024 Forester Wilderness carries over with a starting price of $36,265. Destination and Delivery ($1,345)

Subaru still has to announce the outdoor-themed 2025 Forester Wilderness, but it will likely launch sometime next year. Subaru will redesign the rugged trim level, and as soon as Subaru of America announces it, I'll bring you the details. Stay tuned.

The 2025 Subaru Forester is available now for compact SUV shoppers to order. The new online tool allows customers to build the Forester with the features, upgrades, and trim levels and see pricing before they visit a Subaru retailer.

Subaru website and configurator does not show ventilated seats as a feature or option for any trim including Touring. Seems like this previously advertised feature has been dropped entirely. Very unfortunate.

One annoying characteristic of the Forester is the lack of power. The prices are higher than ever and no improvement on power.

Anyone know what is happening with the ventilated seat feature on the new Touring trim? It's now nowhere to be seen on the new website listing. Not in the feature list, not in the configurator, not in the trim comparison grid.
