For the first time at Subaru I remember, it's a buyer's market. If you shop for a compact SUV, it could be the best time to buy the 2024 Subaru Forester and 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. An updated Consumer Report (by subscription) ranking reveals the two Subaru SUVs are selling under the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
Consumer Reports says, "We ranked the vehicles by how good a deal they are, relative to the manufacturer's suggested retail price, by using the percentage of savings from the sticker price. The top model represents the best deal. Each model sells for less than MSRP—even if just barely."
Subaru Crosstrek Makes The List
Even more surprising is that the hot 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is also on CR's updated list. Since I've been covering the subcompact SUV, the Crosstrek has never been selling for less than MSRP, but it is now. CR says, "The Subaru Crosstrek is the #1 of 13 recommenced Subcompact SUVs with the best fuel economy in its class."
