Subaru is out to prove the 2015 XV Crosstrek is one tough small crossover. Who will they send to the Arctic Circle to prove it?
The Canadian Team Offtrax duo, Corinne Copreni and Jess Watt have taken incredible adventures before in a Subaru and they will do it again in a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. The duo left yesterday on a three-week Arctic Circle road trip, leaving from a Subaru dealership in Victoria, BC, to prove the AWD prowess of the small crossover with this Arctic Circle adventure.
The Canadian team will be conquering rough roads and tackling adventurous terrain through the Yukon and Northwest Territories, “proving the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek is up for it.” It’s Subaru’s way of showing adventure seekers they have the car for them.
Last year, the pair completed the Mongolia Charity Rally, driving from London to Ulaanbaatar, and then back again driving the 2014 Subaru XV 33,497 km in total through 36 countries. The Team Offtrax duo were the first women to complete the rally and even doubled the trek as the event is usually only a one-way rally.
This year, they will take on a challenge that is even tougher by attempting to cross the Arctic Circle in the Subaru crossover. Corinne Copreni says, “Team Offtrax is extremely excited to get back behind the wheel of another Subaru XV Crosstrek, especially in our home country. Thanks to Subaru Canada and the XV Crosstrek we’re able to check another item off our bucket list, crossing the Arctic Circle.”
The only modifications made to the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek are a hood protector and a sump guard. The crossover is otherwise all standard and even comes with original equipment all-weather tires as other XVs. Of course it comes with the brand’s excellent Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
