There must be a long waiting list to become a police officer in Tokyo, Japan. They get to drive some of the coolest cars on the planet. Now the police get new 2017 Nissan 370Z NISMO patrol cars to chase the bad guys. It’s a tough job, but these sports cars will make patrolling the streets a whole lot more fun. Nissan recently delivered 370Z NISMO patrol cars to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police department. The kids got involved in this as the new patrol cars were introduced at the Traffic Safety Family Festival. Nissan says The high-performance NISMO Z cars will support traffic safety activities in addition to regular duties.
We can’t tell if the kids or the cops who get to drive these cars had more fun at the event. Watch the Z NISMO "On Duty” video and check out the trio of high-performance patrol cars.
Makoto Fujii, Regional Project Manager for Nissan says, “You may see these cars on the road soon. Please look out for them.” Hopefully when motorists in Tokyo see a 2017 Nissan 370Z NISMO patrol car, it won’t be in their rearview mirror with the lights flashing to pull them over for a traffic violation.
