Need a lift? See what Nissan is offering on their 2018 Titan and Titan XD Crew Cab 4x4 models.
Pickup trucks are meant to ride high with extra ground clearance for truck owners to get away from civilization. Now Nissan announced they are offering special factory-authorized suspension lift kits for their all-new 2018 Titan and Titan XD full-size pickups. Nissan says the bolt-on kits, developed by California-based ICON Vehicle Dynamics, “offer a more aggressive exterior appearance, increased ground clearance and a suspension lift of up to three inches.”
Now truck owners don’t have to lift their suspension with lift kits that will void their warranty. Nissan says the new suspension upgrades are bolt-on ready, with no cutting or drilling required, and installation does not void the new vehicle truck warranty on other Titan components.
The new suspension lift kits are available through Nissan dealers, and includes adjustable coil-over shock absorbers tuned specifically for Titan and Titan XD, custom rod end bearings and patent-pending Delta Joints to provide up to three inches of suspension lift. Nissan says dealers can install the bolt-on hardware in under four hours.
The new lifted Nissan Titan is on display now at the Chicago Auto Show. The kit is a good idea as many truck owners want the extra ride height to carry their toys to the high country. And there's more Titans on the road this year than ever. The new full-size trucks have been a bright spot for the Japanese automaker, with the brand reporting sales of the Titan pickup in January totaled 4,051, up 46 percent.
Nissan developed the new Titan XD to tap into the middle ground between half ton and three-quarter ton pickups. They succeeded in building an attractive offering in the gas V8 and diesel variants capable of handling substantial loads, features a beefier frame and running gear than half-ton trucks, and the ride isn’t as harsh as most heavy-duty trucks.
