The next-generation 2022 Subaru BRZ is still one of the most affordable sports cars in America. For 2022, the BRZ is offered in a new trim level, Premium, along with the Limited trim. The 2022 Subaru BRZ arrives with more power, new safety technology, and it’s affordable. Check out the pricing and the recent upgrades below.
As announced in November, the 2022 BRZ gets a new non-turbocharged FA24 2.4-liter Boxer engine with 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. The BRZ gets a nice bump in power from the current 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque. Read about the full power and suspension upgrades here.
The new Premium trim comes well equipped with Torsen limited-slip differential, vehicle stability control with Track Mode, 17-inch alloy wheels in a dark gray finish, heated exterior power mirrors, and a power fuel-door lock.
Inside, Premium trims come standard with keyless access with pushbutton start, LED headlights (low and high beam) with automatic height adjustment, dual-zone automatic climate control, incline start assist, rear center console storage box with USB ports and auxiliary input jack, variable intermittent windshield wipers with new speed-sensing mist feature, and welcome lighting.

What is the price of the 2022 Subaru BRZ?
The new 2022 Subaru BRZ Premium with a 6-speed manual gearbox has a starting price of $28,955. BRZ Premium with an automatic transmission starts at $30,555. New features for the all-new 2022 BRZ
New for 2022, the standard tire pressure monitoring system now allows two sets of wheels to be ID registered. The update enables the owner to switch to seasonal tires without changing the tires on the original wheels.
A new standard active sound control enhances engine sound within the cabin, and a driver’s knee airbag has been added to the list of standard safety features.
On the left of the tach, a programmable meter displays amps, coolant temperature, and Lateral-G. When Track Mode is selected, the tachometer switches from a traditional circular form to a linear graph with a color display.
BRZ upgrades with EyeSight for the first time
The BRZ (with the automatic transmission) now comes equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assist technology. The system includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure, sway warning, and lead vehicle start alert. The automatic transmission option also adds high beam assist to both trim levels.
The second-generation 2022 Subaru BRZ is lighter, faster, safer, and stays affordable. Because of production slowdowns, the all-new BRZ won’t arrive at Subaru retailers until this fall.

The only things I hate are
The only things I hate are the active sound control and how the taillights are connected across the trunk. The rest of this car seems awesome. If you wanted to turbocharge it yourself, you could have a manual transmission Supra type car. I can't wait for the 400Z to come out next.
