Subaru has made the newly-refresh 2021 Crosstrek and all-new Crosstrek Sport configurator live now. Build the trim you want before they arrive.
Subaru of America is bringing the newly-refreshed 2021 Subaru Crosstrek to U.S. shores this summer. It should be arriving at Subaru retailers by mid-August, but you can start building the trim you want now. Subaru has made the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek configurator live on its website.
We can’t wait to get our hands on the all-new 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport with the 2.5-liter engine producing 182 horsepower. The extra power should make a big difference and the fuel mileage on the new Sport gets an EPA estimated 27/34 city/highway mpg and 29 combined mpg.
We configured a Plasma Yellow Pearl 2021 Crosstrek Sport and added the optional package ($1,600) with Starlink 8.0-inch touchscreen, blind spot detection/cross-traffic alert, and a power moonroof. We threw in an aero roof crossbar set ($201), STI roof spoiler ($454), and Thule bike carrier hitch platform for two bikes ($619). With destination and delivery, the total price is $30,419.
The 2021 Crosstrek Sport is set apart from the other trims with wider wheel arch moldings, 17-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish, and a gunmetal finish for the front grille, side mirrors, and badges. The Sport interior adds water-repellant StarTex upholstery with yellow stitching to the seating.
We want to try the Sport's suspension upgrades with dual function X-Mode and see how it performs off-pavement. You can dial up Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings to optimize all-wheel-drive performance for more extreme weather and road conditions. This will make a difference for those wanting to get farther into the high country.
The Sport also comes with gunmetal and simulated carbon-fiber interior trim accents, a high-grade gauge cluster with color LCD and yellow metallic finish trim rings, and a high-power LED rear gate light.
We were surprised Subaru has not announced a new 2021 Crosstrek Hybrid trim and it’s not included on the new Crosstrek website. We contacted Subaru and they told us a 2021 Crosstrek hybrid trim will be offered. Stay tuned.
The refreshed 2021 Subaru Crosstrek and all-new 2021 Crosstrek Sport arrives at retailers this month. You can build the trim level you want now before it arrives.

They are already appearing on
They are already appearing on dealer websites so I hopped in the car and drove two hours to see thePlasma Yellow sport only to find out that they didn’t have any, they were in the “pipeline” I told the sales manager that they shouldn’t be on his website if he didn’t have them or at least tag it so people know. They said they would call when it arrived, lol I said don’t bother, I’ll find one later.
