Which Subaru model sells the fastest? The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is the fastest-selling new car for Subaru of America, and it's the fastest-selling new car of any automaker in the most U.S. cities.
How popular is the refreshed 2021 Subaru Crosstrek? A new report from iSeeCars reveals the Crosstrek is now the fastest-selling new car in seven U.S. cities, the most of any automaker's new car model.
iSeeCars analyzed the data geographically to find the fastest-selling new cars in the top 50 most populous metro areas. They found the average days to sell a new vehicle is 26.0 days, but the Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback spend much less time on a dealer's lot before selling.

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek only takes 4.8 days to sell in Portland, Oregon. The 2021 Subaru Forester sells in 5.3 days in Cleveland-Akron, Ohio, and the 2021 Subaru Outback sells in just 3.7 days in Raleigh-Durham (Fayetteville), North Carolina.
The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek now tops any new car model selling fastest in the most cities across the U.S. The refreshed Crosstrek moves off dealers' lots quickest in Harrisburg-Lancaster-York, PA (5.9 days), Hartford & New Haven, CT (8.0 days), Los Angeles, CA (4.2 days), Philadelphia, PA (5.1 days), Portland, OR (4.8 days), and Washington, DC (Hagerstown, MD) (4.9 days).

And the Crosstrek is the fastest-selling used model in Baltimore, MD (4.1 days), and Cleveland-Akron OH (14.9 days).
The 2021 Subaru Forester is another hot model for the Camden, N.J. automaker selling fastest in five cities; Seattle-Tacoma, WA (5.8 days), Cleveland-Akron OH (5.3 days), Harrisburg-Lancaster-York, PA (26.8 days - used), Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News, VA (5.8 days), and Salt Lake City, UT (21.5 days - used).

The 2021 Subaru Outback is also on the fastest-selling new model list, selling the quickest in two U.S. cities; Jacksonville, FL (6.9 days), and Raleigh-Durham (Fayetteville), NC (3.7 days).
iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer says, "As demand continues to outpace supply for new cars, consumers should act quickly if they see their desired vehicle for sale, and buyers may have to be flexible on color and trim options for in-demand models."
Subaru prices have gone up, but not as much as some automakers. A new report from Kelly Blue Book says the average cost of a new Subaru model rose 0.8 percent from July 2021 to August 2021.
If you want to buy a 2021 Crosstrek, 2021 Subaru Forester, or 2021 Outback in one of these fifteen cities, you better act quickly because they are flying off Subaru retailers' lots.

Don't buy this car. I bought
Don't buy this car. I bought a used 2014 Crosstrek with 36k on it in Feb 2021 after getting ride of a 2004 Chevy Tahoe that had 300k. I bought a Subaru again as I owned a 1981 wagon from 1982-1999 and put over 300k on it with the only thing I did to it was maintenance tires clutch cable AC and water pump.
Since Feb I have had to put a new AC compressor, the right front wheel had snapped off the lug nuts not once now but Twice. The second time was on the freeway and caused over $2,500 worth of damage to the front end and another $4,000 worth of damage to the body.
I took it to the same Subaru dealership that fixed the right front tire the first time it came off in May 2021 they warrantied all the work except for the brake job they had to do on the left side and a new wheel because of the damage that was caused to it when the lug nuts snapped off. They will not fix the body damage because they said that was not caused by them even though it's either a defect or negligence on their part that the tire came off a second time. The highway patrol said that I was lucky that I was not seriously injured when the tire broke off.
Right now I just want to get rid of this car as I travel for work and I feel unsafe driving it and if it's happened twice it could happen a third time or one of the other wheels could come off.
Subaru has been no help so I hope by posting here I will put pressure on them too do something about my car.

Subaru still needs to offer a
Subaru still needs to offer a 2.4T/6spd WRX and/or STI version of the Crosstrek, IMO. Adjustable coilovers could make it versatile enough for rally and offroad, then commuting during the week.
Acceleration with the 2.0L is glacial. The 2.5L is only available with the CVT. I have a 2.0L/CVT that is great for economical commuting, but it's boring. I can average 40+ MPG, by setting the cruise near the speed limit.
A center locker would be great too. Even the cheap Suzuki SX4 could lock the center. At least the aftermarket offers a rear locker, skids, winchmounts, etc.
